Issues With Incorrect Window Size Using WB7 And Remote Desktop CLient

I have an issue with the current version of WB7 on Windows 7, where I cannot resize the window frame of a remote desktop session so the the entire client window is visible:

Clipped Remote Desktop

I haven't (yet) tested this extensively, but it happens with irregular framed skins like Slow Burn (shown), and also with more regular shaped ones like Sabertooth.

I have also seen this "clipping" with Citrix remote desktops when the client is set to a fixed or percentage size rather than full screen.

Remote desktop and server admin makes up a pretty fair part of my day, so having to revert back to Aero or UIS0 skins is a bit of a downer - especially with a few paid-up master skins waiting in the wings!

Any feedback would be appreciated... and in case it helps here is my support info:

What resolution are you running the remote desktop at?  Does the same issue happen in full screen?  Is the window in the screenshot maximized? If not, are you able to resize it to the correct size?

Hi Shirley,

The remote desktop is running at 1280 x 768.  If I set the size to full screen, I don't get any frames (but a real full screen with just the drop down at the top centre) so it isn't an issue... but I like to run the sessions as "windows" so I can flip between them and other tasks a bit quicker.

The window in the screenshot isn't maximised, and I produced it using the "Window snip" mode of the Windows 7 Snipping Tool (I can grab a whole desktop if it helps).  I am unable to resize this client window - if I grab from the bottom right corner or any of the edges it just won't quite get there, requiring the use of the scroll bars to be able to see either the task bar or the top of the screen - but not both!

All other applications seem to act normally.  I think there are a few sizing issues when running remote X clients off our Unix hosts but I can understand if the widgets don't quite line up there!

Cheers,
Andy.

I have the same issue with the RDP client and WB7. It varies amongst skins but a good example is the Windowblinds skin Acrylic by danilOoc, it works fine under Windows 7, just that I have to keep stretching the RDP client window around the edges of the desktop, very annoying.

I really cant understand why RDP seems to react differently to evey othe app when skinned.

Does setting RDP to use a different resolution produce the same results?
