SKS5 & SKS7

Can SKS5 & SKS7 co-exist as SKS5 & SKS6 could?

Impulse wants to uninstall 'SkinStudio Standard' when I try to install SKS7 & I want to keep SKS5 if possible.  Is SKS5 what Impulse is seeing as 'SkinStudio Standard'?  All I've ever installed were 'pro' (ODN) versions.

Thanks.

It should be able to, but it may be Impulse is set incorrectly at the server end and this is why it is trying to remove an older version.

Daiwa: Just my opinion but it may be time to lay Sks5 to rest?

Thanks for your reply, Neil.

2of3, I understand & expected the question.

Too much time invested in gaining reasonable proficiency with SKS5 to not keep it around for quick&dirty tweeks to skins.  SKS7 will be for 'play' for quite a while, I'm afraid, particularly since all my rigs are still running XP, so I may just wait for the 'server end to be set correctly' to be sure SKS5 doesn't get borked unintentionally.  Soon as it's 'safe' to install 7 leaving 5 in place, I'll dive in.

I hear ya. I do feel that if you gave sks7 a chance, you may discover that it is pretty good for just that too: quick tweaks as well as full skinning (I too started out on sks5 at was very reluctant to go over to version 6). Glad you are able to keep the version you are used to, though.
