Banned because I'm happy that my deranged aunt is finally leaving, after I have been smashed, starved, nearly hamstrung, frozen, lied to, drugged, yelled at, and bored to tears all in the name of accommodating her.

 

Going to have a very long discussion with my parents this afternoon about the impossibility of future visits.

Banned for being jealous you didn't think of it first.... especially when your own deranged aunt came to visit and tormented the bejesus out of you.

Banned because my ultimatum is as follows: If she wants to come over she can stay in a hotel or something. I don't have any problem with that. Otherwise, I suppose I'll just have to find something important to do up on campus for a few days, and you can all celebrate new years or whatever holiday she wants to celebrate without me.

Banned for a cross-dressing uncle... I could have sworn that was a dress, suspenders and stockings I glimpsed him wearing under his coat when he arrived the time before last.

Banned because that would not help here. The city of Columbus just built a new, supermodern courthouse building a year or so ago. Being something of a fan of modern architecture, I took an immediate liking to it, but there was a... problem in the form of the main staircase, which was made largely of glass and traveled over part of the atrium. Female employees refused to walk up it, so what did they do? They stationed a posse of security guards underneath to threaten peekers. MALE security guards. I still don't get why they couldn't just buy a pair of pants.

Okay, if you must know, I am nocturnal.  (A night person, not the Daedric Prince....)and do a paper-route in the morning.  I usually finish around 5am, come home, play a game till 8, then go to sleep.  But I recently aquired Dragonborn for Skyrim, and want to play it, but had to restart due to my own pathological need to restart any game I haven't touched in over a month....anyway, my brother got a new xbox, and transfered everything over to it and sold the old one.  And I was unaware that DLC was licensed to the xbox it was downloaded to, and needed to have the license transfered.  So I endured an extra 2 hours of "WTAF IS GOING ON WHY CAN'T I SEE ANYTHING BUT DRAGONBORN???"  While redownloading, deleting, and redownloading them all again....Then it was 11:30, I figured it out, and wanted to play...Then it was 2 and I had to get up at 5 so I just said F*** it and stayed up.

And that, boys and girls, is the story of why everypony needs to be nocturnal, like me.  INSOMNIA FOR EVERYONE!!!

Oh...and now that I am coherent, the maths say:  I was awake for 33 hours when I said 40, but in total was awake 45 hours before going to sleep.  Not.  Pleasant.

You know I can relate to working those hours and your body getting used to it. I also have gotten up early forever, and now 5:00AM and poof my eyes pop open and I start to toss and turn. Lucky for me I like the peace and quiet of real early mornings. You should try to even just rest in bed and I promise you will fall asleep. As long as your not sick.  Eventually.

Banned because mortals can sleep and immortals twiddle their thumbs for lack of stuff to do.

Banned because if I was immortal, the first thing I would do is play the entire Halo series back-to-back without any breaks.
