DA strategy guide

Here is what I've been using for DA:

1. Spine Attack I

2. Warp Strike I

3. Save

4. Spine Attack II and Warp Strike II

5. Shadow Swap

6. Save

7. Spine Attack III and Warp Strike III

8. Save

9. Save

10. Spine Attack IV, Shadow Swap II, and Warp Strike III

11. Warp Area I

12. Warp Area II

13. Demon Speed I

14. Save

15. Deadly Warp and Shadow Swap III

Favor: BotF or Staff of Renewal

Items: Standard health items, except I use a Hungarlings and Magnus Rod to cast at 75% cost reduction. Yes, I realize that's very pricey. DA needs a lot of mana.

I don't find the passive abilities useful at all, honestly, and warp area is more of an endgame thing. I love using the 2600 dmg nuke at level 15. :D

On a side note, does anyone know if Warp Area removes debuffs, since it makes you invincible, I'm guessing no, but if it did it could definitely be useful against a spit ub or a reg with shrapnel mines.

If it doesn't it should!

Ok,gonna ask a Q now.

What i've been trying for a while is to take vlemish, one health armor(Haubrek of life usually),The +10% crit armor(Nimoth?),10% crit gloves, and unbrakeable boots.

Still haven't figured out which favor item is good.

Anyway,I've been going melee style:

Prioritizing Dodge,Crit, and Warp strike(love the crit upgrade for it), taking one rank of shadow swap, and then usually Warp area.
Thing is, the skill at the end of the dodge\speed tree seems awesome, yet I never get to try it,because it's 3 points that usually go to waste(speed is nice, but other things are better).

The question is: Is there anyway you guys think it's possible to fit it in?
Since I've been going against to PC on hard, and I'm able to kill most DGs without much trouble, but I'm never top on the damage list.

Thanks anyhow (:

I've played 5 games with DA so far, all on normal.  First game I played, I got raped repeatedly.  I found a lone Rook and figured I'd go slaughter him, but imagine my surprise when he raised his hammer and squished me like a bug before I even got close.  I could've sworn I saw an animation of Rook scraping me off his hammer with the heel of his boot.

Lesson learned, DA needs lots of armor and health.

Not sure how you guys use any other favor besides Wrath with DA it is only item I can use that gets him to level decent.  And then again when you out level the opposition his combo level 10 skills with warp and spine is sweet.

BoF? The more I play the more I begin to ask myself if this is maybe the best favor item for every single demigod.

Spine attack is DA's snipe, if someone is running away, spine is the perfect finisher.

Just share line with someone or pull creeps tower. Simple as that.

I pesonaly would get 2 lvls of critical ability or 1 stats 1 crit instead of wrap area.

One point in Warp Area is a great idea because DA is invincible whenever he is warping, and it has instant cast.  So if you see some burst damage coming (fireball, pounce, ice rain),  just hit the 3 key and your safe (as long as at least one target is within range of Warp Area).

My observations of Demon Assassin:

  • Warp Area - Invincible and interrupts and is great at killing creep waves.
  • Warp Strike - Best starting ability for the mana + cooldown.  If you go Spine Attack instead, your looking at a 12 sec cooldown for about the same mana cost at lvl 1.  You can cast 3 Warp Strikes + Cooldown in the time you can do one Spine Attack + Cooldown.
  • Shadow Swap - People really dont understand this ability.  Its not meant to be used to suicide yourself next to a tower.  If the enemy demigod is camped at a tower, you Shadow Swap with them, then immediately Warp Strike out of there!  If you dont have the mana to cast both skills (Shadow Swap + Warp Strike), then dont even bother with the Shadow Swap if its gonna put you in the middle of a firing squad of towers.
  • Spine Attack - Really, really needs to be buffed with a secondary effect to justify such a huge mana cost AND cooldown, seeing as its his only ranged attack that doesnt put him in harms way.

Havent played with the passive abilities yet, so havent figured them out, really need to think about how to maximize their effect with items/artifacts.
