updated OS from Vista home 32 to Windows 7 64 premium

impulse not finding installed game

As per the title, I have updated my operating system. (to take advantage of higher memory values). Once I did this, Impulse can not locate the installation of Demigod - and offers me to download it again. Preferably I would prefer to be able to "repair" the link within Impulse so that it can locate the game files. Can someone advise me about to edit Impulse to recognise the already installed game? Regards.

Moving from 32 bit to 64 bit you need to reinstall. Your current install will not have the right files to run on 64 bit.

You could try using the detect application function within Impulse. Click the blue menu button in the upper left to do this. Fill in the details about the game. This should cause Impulse to see it. If you have trouble getting it to run, since it is a Stardock game, you can use the verify installation function by right clicking on the game from the 'My Games' tab. Theoretically this would download what you need to get it working. If it does not, you will need to re-download/install.

I assume when you say upgrade you mean you did a clean install (I'm pretty sure you have to), because if you somehow did do an in place upgrade from a 32 bit version of Windows to a 64 bit one then many things may need to be reinstalled.
