Account stats gone, i can play only with noobs because pros kicks me.

Hi all.

Well, i bought this game the day it was released in Europe.

I played it for months.

I took a break.

Now, i reinstalled Windows a couple of months ago, but didn't delete Demigod's folder from d: , only did format c:   .

I reinstalled a week ago Impulse, and reactivated without redownloading all my products (Demigod and all Gal Civ 2 games.)

I logged back into Demigod game with my old account, same password, same everything, but guess what? I was a NOOB.

0 games played, 0 achievements.

 

Now, i want that back, because i don't want to play with noobs.

Useless stats were reset a couple of times or something like that.

I believe another stat reset is coming when the new demigods are released, so you'll be on a level playing field then.  I suggest getting some pantheon games in if its difficult or hosting your own games.

You probably know most of the premades anyhow.  Its not like the player names are changing and we will all be total strangers after a stats reset.

 

Still makes me snicker at the term "premade".  The only online, multiplayer game where you are penalized for having friends.

it's the only one where you cannot make a team to enter a matchmaking queue (at least the only one i know of). and it seems we will get a singleplayer campaign and demigod merchandizing before we will see this feature.

World of Warcraft uses the term "premade" all the time.  It is a common enough term in online multiplayer gaming and it is used the same way here as it is everywhere else.


I personally have no problem with premades, but..


The Demigod Community - the only community in which premades have a persecution complex and get mad when people call them a premade.

If demigod's community was a large one than I would have no problem with premades, but in a small community premades can easily imbalance a game or even make a game one sided. When I premade enters my games they either split up or be kicked. Another problem a community as small as demigod is that you will get the same players multiple times even without trying and some dont even know or understand what a premade is.

Premade is only a problem in Demigod because Premade always equals pug stomp.  Thats because:

1) The community is not big enough for easy premade vs premade.

2) The matchmaking/stats aren't reliable/descriptive enough to ensure the game has a semblance of balance.
