Installing Gal civ 2 from a flash drive

Because my cd drive on my computer does not work, i decided to copy cal civ 2 onto a flash drive using my old laptop.  I took the the flash drive and copied GalCiv2.CD1 (D) and GalCiv2.CD2 (D) onto my desktop computer(the one i want it on). However when i click to install the game it asks me to do it from the CDs. Is there any way i can install from the file already on my computer?

Have you tried downloading and installing through Impulse?

Another option would be to use Impulse Anywhere http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/Default.aspx

You can sign in to obtain the installers/archive files which you can then backup or put on a flash drive to install on another machine.

If all you have are the disk images, you can use DaemonTools to mount directories on your computer and have them show up in your Computer folder as optical drives. This utility is available here:
