Can't get a pantheon game to work

So am I missing something?  Everytime I try to play a patheon game it says system is waiting to find you a game.... but it never does.  Not even AI game.  I'll leave it running for 10-15 min. just to see if it'll work and never does.  Eventually it times out and says "a suitable match can not be found"

Either I'm that good... or that bad :) :(

This is a problem (as in that's not normal behavior).  My games always start (with the  exception of the occassional nat facilitor error) within 2-5 minutes, regardless of time of day.  You should open up a post in problem problems and/or send an email explaining your issue to support@stardock.com

bellach: are you sure that your game is patched to the latest version? Sometimes people can log in without that.

You just played a game though and your record shows that you have played Pantheon before ;)

Yah, sometimes it works, but sometimes it fails. I'm waiting 5-15min for a match...:annoyed:

Yeah, since they took out the AI, games are harder than ever to start. Even though the AI was annoyingly stupid, it was still preferable to play a 2vs2 (one AI, one human each side) rather than sit there for 45 minutes HOPING there are enough people online to get a game going.

If you check opengames.asp at almost any given time, you'll notice that there are always 1 or more queued up on dark and typically no one on light.  Supposedly, there are 363 on light this panth and 328 on dark.  However, it seems like those light side players aren't playing all that much.  A simple solution, that I'm going to try next panth, is to be on light side.  I enjoy playing, so I'll gladly join the side with the fewest active players.

I would too, but it seems to be a complete guessing game as to who is actually active or not, otherwise I too would choose the side with the least active players.

yeah.  I'm pretty much going to wait a day after the next pantheon starts and check opengames.asp throughout the day.  Odds are one side will be stacked again.  Then I'll pick the opposite side.  Just a guess, but with the demon assassin going live, there are good odds that dark will be stacked with more active players.

Hm, maybe I should track the queues independently on the stats.

Argggggggggh! Three pantheon attempts in a row, with three sets of different players for a 2vs2 and ALL THREE TIMES there is one player who doesn't connect to anybody...

fixed.

(although trust me there have been plenty of worse games)

Anyways, this game has a low online population, and the majority of them hang out in custom games rather than pantheon so if you want to get some games in I suggest you look there instead.
