To all you morons kicking because of low game count.

Has it ever occured to you some of us had hundreds of games before the reset (which happened many times afaik) and the fact we don't have 1000 games now just means we have a real life with responsabilities, since the beginning of school and all.

There is always less than 5 games in my custom window whenever I look, so before you kick, ask the question.

Otherwise you can take a scalpel if you have access to any and chop off one of your balls and give it to the BODIES exposition!

LULZ calling us morons will get us to stop kicking you right? But seriously if you only have 5 games since the reset and join your ruining you teams fun and sometimes the other teams so its only reasonable to kick ya.

I have 38 games, and some good ones too so far! I get to play perhaps 1 game a night if I'm lucky!

But yeah, you can keep kicking me. We just did a 3v3 where everyone had 200+ games and I 35 and we swept the floor!

Quantity != Quality

pls tell me you are just kidding. if your only argument is "only 5 games since reset" you should better keep your mouth shut. i don't know the op, don't know if he is a good player or not, don't know if he had 500 games before reset (which did not occured for everyone) but you don't know it either!

not having played much since reset means nothing. this simple fact even a moron should be able to comprehend.

at least asking someone before kicking him. it's the minimal to do! such reaction i would expect from 6 year old kiddis.

How many months ago was the reset now? It shows you're not an active player if you have few games. Regardless though if you have a high win % you'll get into games and most people will listen to you if you explain your situation.

Stats don't lie that much but yea I looked before I posted he had 100+ games in total but thats like being a football player quiting for 2 years coming back and being like IMA BE THE FOOTBALL STAR AGAINZ! It just doesn't happen if you aren't active then you skills rust resulting in lower skill (usually).

What year are you in?

Only people on social welfare would have more time to play than arts students.

So, if a guy like me who has taken a break from this game for a few months wants to come back I shouldn't bother?  Because based on the posts around here it sounds like nobody will let me join their games if I don't have x number of games since the reset or if I don't "explain my situation" adequately.  Awesome community we have here.  I guess it's not just GPG that's killing the game.

stats are lying far more than most here think!

the most (not all) with good stats have them only because of selecting its mates, leaving lobbies as soon as they see someone bad. i have seen too many palyers with avg stats or even under 50% win being better then most 75%+ players i met. and that were not exceptions.

sure, no one can deny that the stats are an indicator, and often a quite good one. but most times people are overacting because of the stats. additionally we all now the stats are even not accurate! for many palyers there are losses counted that never happend and that's not all.

you should allways give one at least time to explain before kicking.

but the most stupid part of your reaction is not the kick. if you have doubts about his skills, ok. your right. but your answer, your first post here is simply stupid. a reasonable answer would have been:

"sry, that's the info i got from the fucked up stats we get here and i don't have the patiance and time to verify each player skills. i feel sorry if i underestimated you but trying to avoid the risk that's all i can do - my host, my rules."

a bit understaning for it's situation would be the least you could have shown.

I do show understanding but when someone UNDER 100 games joins my game that is calle US East 4v4 100+ games then of course I kick 1. because they're under the stnadards of my game 2. because they apparently can't read and won't chat 3. because after 500 games im tired of noobs...HE didn't set the newer player standard the guys who buy the game install jump into multi and play the first game they see im tired of them...and I'm not pulling up pantheon for every guy under 100 games to check his stats I was done with that when the overlay came out.

Or you could join games that say something along the lines of "X number of games played", "noob/med/pros only", "greater than X % win ratio".

If you have 5 games in the last 2 months and you join a game that says "Pros only", then yes, you will most likely get kicked or need to explain yourself.  And then when your done explaining, you'll most likely get kicked anyhow.

Doesnt mean you cant play, just join games that are around your skill level.  Theres been a number of posts about noobs joining pro games and pro joining noob games, and pre's playing PUGs, etc.  It will always be that way.  Look at this way, if you have to explain yourself, your probably not as good as you think, and you might have a more enjoyable game elsewhere.

And if you your excuse is theres no other games to join, theres a special button called "Host Game" that you can click and it magically adds a game to the custom page list.  It even has your name attached to it, and you can set all the options just the way you like them, and you wont have to worry about someone kicking you because the reset erased all your gamez!

Games count is a reasonable indicator of expertise. Win/Loss is not exactly reliable, high for premades/Panth junkies, and the more selective players. Lower for those that pub and are underdog supporters.

Id prefer a 300 games player with 50% win over a 50 gamer w/ 80%. When it comes to the unfortunate tele/lock spam end of game the experience really shows.

Well, I can't count how many Lan games I've played with 2-3 friends here, tripple digets I'm sure.  But because I log in occationally, and join a pug online, my rating is (I think) 15 games with 2 wins.  I'd call myself a C+ player, but I'm beggining to feel like a leper.

It is simply more convenient, rapid, and probably equivocally accurate to look at stats vs discussing the lack of with someone and making a call from there.

There are definitely exceptions, and everyone knows stats are bordering practicality.

I've played the game since the first beta and have 137 games played since the last reset. I still got kicked from a lobby last night for being a "noob". It wasn't even from a "pro only" game or anything.

People should focus more on creating balanced teams than kick everyone without the perfect number of games played/ win ratio.

My suggestion,

Completly copy the League of Legend way to do things.

-Dont show player # of game but rather gave them a LVL (1-30)

-Show only # of victory game and disconnect or left games. Defeat can still be seen by the owner

- I know copying is not a good thing at school but when other company have great ideas that can maybe help Demigod, I think we should put them in.

- Reason I think this may work, In LoL (League of Legends) we dont see all the problem we see here when making a match.

-Removing dark/light for pantheon is a good idea(Pacov idea). This will help the matchmaking and prevent a little more the double demigod problem we often see in pantheon games.

Laters guys

Concerning the "balanced" teams, this game is just too hard to carry a noob (or more accurately it is impossible for a Pro to dominate 2+ competent players).  You can put a 70% 70% 20% team against a 50% 50% 50% team and the first team will get slaughtered because the 20% noob will 1) feed, 2) never assist, 3) wont know to lock flags, and 4) doesn't know what a portal scroll is.  There is a threshold level of competency you have to have before you can get a good game going.  I generally like to play games with people that have 50%+ win rate and hundreds of games under their belt.  At that point they should be competent.
