how is cutting down trees and carving them up enviromentally friendly

though it is hilarious

well, bamboo is consider environmental friendly material as it grows very rapidly and most importantly is it is bio-degradable.

although taking up trees and converting them to keyboards may not look to be much good, its the fact that when they have been finished, the wooden parts can then be broken down and put back into the soil to grow another tree

Recycling paper is no longer necessary, because paper companies all own their own forests that they replant as they cut down.  The recycling process uses a large amount of energy and harmful chemicals, so it's actually worse at this point.  Not to mention the quality of recycled paper is less than optimal.

I wish this was true everywhere. At the moment, in Tasmania, we are cutting down our ancient forest so the wood companies can grow their own forest. Some of the biggest trees in the world.:annoyed:

I'm going to pass on that keyboard and mouse until they start making them out of hemp.

Hope they are planting bamboo. Because bamboo is the fastest growing plant on earth.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bamboo

"it has been measured surging skyward as fast as 121 cm (47.6 inches) in a 24-hour period,and can also reach maximum growth rate exceeding one meter (39 inches) per hour for short periods of time. "

Simple amazing.
