unable to update using impulse

unable to update sins/entenchment, says problem retrieving update data along the bottom. if i click to manually update it says i'm running in offline mode and that i should relogon and try again.  no luck doing that. any tips?

i got the 'offline' mode thing all the time when i was on dialup with an accelerator

yet the other functions (browser, chat, ect) worked

had to disable the accelerator to get the updates

If you are on dialup, the "accelerator" apps will probably break Impulse.  These basically heavily cache commonly accessed websites to give the appearance of speed, when you're really just loading them locally.  Obviously, if they try to do this with Impulse downloads, you'll end up with some portion of the download cached, and then Impulse being directed to download it from the cache.  If possible in the caching software, have it ignore anything through Impulse.  If not, disable it when downloading.
