Registration of Skinstudio 7 Professional

i own Object Desktop upgrade from stand alone

from WinCustomize Forums

Hi there!

Impulse did install Skinstudio 7 Professional for me... now i tried to start the App... it asked for Serial, and i gave it my Serial i have for "Object Desktop upgrade from stand alone".

Now it said: "Not recognized by Impulse!"

Am i wrong with thinking i can use Skinstudio 7 Pro with that Serial?

when using impulse to download and install the stardock software it should be installed and activated automatically. Just a hunch but it may be that the install was somehow corrypted. Try uninstalling SKS 7 and using a registry cleaner to remove all traces from the registry then use impulse to download and install SKS 7 again. If the same problem still occurs drop an email to support@stardock.com outlining the exact problem and see if they can help you. Hope you have some luck :)

did you register Object Desktop with your upgrade serial prior to installing SKS7?

 

for ODNT software, you need to register ODNT 1st, then that one serial automatically covers the apps that come with it

SkinStudio is not part of the Object Desktop standard package as shown here: https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/purchase.asp It appears to be incorrectly show in Impulse right now. As this is the case, you will be unable to get a registration to work without upgrading to Object Desktop Ultimate.

Is this the same with WindowBlinds 7?

Last Weeks i could work with WB7 Beta... now an Update to WB7 appears in IMPULSE!

I have a separate Serial for WB6, cause i bought it separate long before OB-Standard.

Is an Upgrade to WB7 included in my License for WB6???

I think I read the cutoff for the upgrade from 6 to 7 is April - if you bought 6 after April you get 7

 

however, ObjectDesktop Standard comes with WB

so, if you reregistered everything with your ObDsktp serial, then I don't think the cutoff applies even if you bought 6 before April - you just keep getting new version of the apps that come with standard as long as the serial isn't expired

 

if you had ODUlitimate you could try the betas

I have tried to reinstall this archive - SkinStudio 7 Professional6.50[b].015_07.29.2009 - all my other programs load thru impulse except this one..

 Skinstudio 7 professional not registered - SkinStudio 7 Professional must be registered in order to be restored

It installed before that is how I got and was able to archived it

One note - it does not even show up as an update thru impulse anymore either

I have  Object Desktop Ultimate & I cant find now but before it was showing up but would keep asking me for a serial as well
