Windows has detected files from beta version

alright; i installed entrenchment and when i started it up, it said

'Entrenchment has detected files from a previous beta installation.  Please uninstall Sins and Entrenchment via Impulse and reinstall both.'

did this and it still does not work... i have never even had the beta on my computer.  WTF is this crap?

Did you manually delete the installation folder after you uninstalled?

Try right-clicking it in Impulse and hitting 'Verify Install'. With your fist.

i uninstalled the program and reinstalled it.  i deleted nothing else.  and i have tried the verify install and it says it is installed correctly.

Huh. Try going and deleting everything in the Sins GameInfo directory and repeating the Verify Install. It should prompt you for an update. Much smaller than a whole redownload.

lol. i figured out what i did; when i installed the game, i had a mod i made to go into it but when i went to put it in the game's program files folder, i draged the one from the original sins into it instead of the one for entrenchment.   then for some reason when i uninstalled the whole thing, it didnt delete anything and when i installed it, it didnt overwrite new files into the folder either.

so i deleted everything and reinstalled and it worked.  and i remembered to install the right mod this time XD

You can also use mods from the mods directory and Options menu. (Use the menu to make sure of your directory.)
