Nintendo Offers Wii Internet Channel For Free

http://www.i4u.com/article26720.html

One of the things that I never really liked about the Nintendo Wii was that it was Internet enabled, but if you wanted to surf the web on the console you had to buy the Internet channel. Nintendo has announced that the Internet channel is now available free of charge to all Wii owners. The only way this isn’t good news is if you already paid for the Internet Channel. The Internet Channel can be downloaded from the Wii Shop Channel and allows users to surf the net, check email, and more. Previously the internet Channel cost 500 Wii Points to download. Visit http://www.i4u.com/article26720.html for more details.

Past time, now if they would only upgrade the Flash Player so we can stream from sites like hulu.

The whole internet browser is fundamentally slow anyway, not the browser (opera is it?) at fault but the platform they've had to build it on, apparently the network controllers are terrible so all internet stuff is slower than it should be.

It's slow and it doesn't fit my screen just right so I am scrolling from side to side. I didn't buy the wii to do anything but play Wii games so I am not going to complain too much, but there is no reason why it has to be soo limited.
