There IS hope for Queen of Thorns. Even on Nightmare difficulty.

As author of several "QoT sucks!"-threads I finally discovered a way to win with her.

BUT: Your team partners will think you suck and they won despite you. And the opponents you won against will think you suck, too, and wonder why they lost even though you were on the opposing team.

And that's because you're harmless. You die quick, you don't kill much, you're nearly always running from a fight. And suddenly the enemy citadel collapses. Or the last fortress crumbles.

QoT is probably the only demigod that has no assassination build ... but she has the highest number of builds that will suck.

Anyway, I had to brag that the theory I tested actually works and that playing QoT in a Siege/Support role is both effective and an interesting change of pace (check here for a build guide). You can even use Uproot to great effect.

"Proof" from a Nightmare Tournament:

As you can see from the statistics, QoT sucks.

However, the statistics don't mention that among the 7 destroyed buildings were 4 of 5 fortresses in that fortress game.

Give her a try but be warned: You'll never rule the battlefield and it takes a big effort to avoid ingrained hunter/killer tactics and go for the buildings instead. :)

End of quote

I see from the stats that you've done the most damage of your team, captured the most flags, destroyed the most buildings and even has the most favour points of your team. I don't understand how this sucks?

So, you're fighting the computer?

No QoT doesn't suck, congrats on finding a way to use her.

She does have a very effective AoE assassin build though. It revolves around her 2 AoE skills and a lot of form changing.

Her general build has a few variations and many advantages that most don't tend to see.

Fights against any level AI just means that a build is possible but does not mean that the build is useful or good in online play vs humans.

Happy to find a little love for QoT here ^__^

I'm very new to the game (began to play it regularily three days ago) but i've found her to be one of the most interesting demigod to work with. But it must also be one of the less forgiving one, build-wise.

For the moment, I really see her as one of the best, if not the best, of all support demi-god. Bramble Shield is simply awesome and a clever use of her Shamblers give her great durability. On the other hand, it's very easy to mess up... Switching between forms to early or too late is often enough to give your opponent the upper hand.

She's, in my point of view, the epithome of a general : you have to be aware both of your friends and of your foes, and to act accordingly. I rarely get the most kills with her online, but always get the most assists, flags being a close second.

(sorry for the rambling, first post from a noob ^^ Glad to be here btw)

I have yet to see a QoT using Uproot in Custom Games (which are 99% Conquest mode), premade or not. And I've already seen a quite a few Yeti Sednas though. For me this says enough about this skill...
