This game crashes like theres no tomorrow

5 times now, 5 times withtin 30 minutes. Fuck you GPG/SD, you're never getting my money again. I want a refund now. I did NOT, pay full price for a piece of shit like this. I've played beta's that had less problems than this "game".

Just point me in the right direction for a refund, thats all i want at this point.

I play with 5 friends on vent and they all crashed simultaneously. It's now been 7 times in a row we all crashed, i managed to get 2 more crashes since i posted this, and its my last game for tonight, i cant take it anymore. Also my computer is about a month old, so no it isnt my computer. This is the ONLY "game" i have that crashes, everything else runs fine.

1) none of us on the General forums can help you. also, none of us care.

2) contact support@stardock.com for a refund. don't talk to anyone else about this because none of us care.

3) its your computer. this game is fairly stable as far as games go. if it crashed for EVERYONE it would be bad software. since its mostly just crashing for you it means there's something on your system that it doesn't get along with. try tinkering with some settings. video and audio drivers are likely culprits. but i'm not here to be your tech support. i don't care. there's a tech support forum for that. go ask them what to do.

4) do you honestly expect to get any help whatever (even a refund if thats what you want) by ranting about it on this forum? what are you thinking?

I still love the game, but that doesn't mean it crashes less.  And I promise you, it's not my computer

Try sales@stardock.com, support@stardock.com, or both.  Try to not mention 'fuck you GPG/SD' if possible.

Here's my 1 bit of advice for you.  If you are willing to put up with some troubleshooting, do so.  Use the forum or support@stardock.com for more info.  If not, go for the refund immediately as you will, without a doubt, have to do troubleshooting to get 5 friends playing together without issue.  I've mentioned this before and I still think its a true statement - you can't expect to get 5 of your friends playing right after buying without doing some troubleshooting (port forward, reinstall, etc).  It is what it is.  Sadly, the game can be a headache.  Your call, and I do not doubt for a second that they will gladly give you your money back if issues.

Do not even screw around - willing to try to fix, give it a shot.  Not really - ask for refund, follow any troubleshooting steps they want you to do, then enjoy the refund if still having issues.

I CARE - BTW.  I'm super

Disable punkbaster and your anti virus software and see if it's still crashing.

Do you have sound max drivers ?

I only crashed once in the 10 or so games I played since 1.1.

My theory is that this crash causes everyone in that game to crash.  If you are the person who crashes every game, send your demigodlog.txt and dump.dmp file to support@stardock.com right after a crash.   It'll help them fix this sooner, complaining here won't help much.  provide feedback like your computer specs.  maybe people with certain videocards makes it crash...

I don't crash every game. In the 10 or so games i played tonight, 7 of them crashed, and in about 4 of them or so, someone else crashed before me.

Ok.

Go to Start-->Run type dxdiag.
Go to sound tab and disable "sound acceleration".

Well the latest patch has made the game crash more frequently, but not that frequently.  So the issue has to be some type of incompatibility with one of the computers.

since 1.1 ALL my games are crashing, even singleplayer! same problem for 3 of my mates! so i dont guess its the fault of my computer or of anyone else! game was running fine most of the time with pre 1.1! (ofc there were crashes too) so, to be cristal clear: running fine before 1.1, same computer. crashing every time with 1.1, same computer. so, anyone feels intelligent enough to tell me what the difference is that causes the problem? i am just wondering when people will start to get it in their heads, that the game is bugged, not the customers or their machines!

Finally someone who has their eyes open and isnt a complete fanboy who would join a blood cult for this "game". Anyways it's not like it matters im getting a refund either way.

What does that do? And why should i mess around with my setting for one "game"?

Now I'm crashing. I wasn't before this patch and now suddenly the game has crashed twice tonight...in a row. Something is wrong here...

This pissed me off to no end as both the matches I crashed in, I was winning...now they count as a god damn loss.

There's no doubt that patch 1.1 is bugged to fuck. Before the patch i wasn't crashing NEARLY as frequently as i am now. I remember someone making a post commenting about how SD/GPG don't test their patches and he made some VERY convincing points. That post has now dissapeared which leads me to believe he was right.

I've never crashed other than in match making in the early days, played several times since 1.1.

I've been trying to get my system to run Arma 2 well and in doing that upgraded to newer graphics drivers for my Dell XPS 1730 laptop.  Since then the first game of Demigod I did I crashed, did a /facepalm and went back to play Arma 2 instead :(

Seems as if this "game" doesn't like new technology/software or just can't understand it. Is this "game" using an engine from 1995 or what?

Before this patch it would only crash from alt-tab like it did for many people.  I got 3 crashes in a row so I figured to reboot and the crashes went away.  I wonder if there is a bad memory leak happening with the latest patch.  Have not had it crash since.

Insults are not necessary. If you wish to pursue a refund, please contact sales@stardock.com about the matter.
