Why does everyone think they should get one? Demigod is imho one of the only games where the devs actually read and sometimes reply in forums. That they won't read+reply to every bug that has been reported a hundred times is understanable.

 

I can say you this: this kind of support is EXTREMELY rare, the CEO post a journal atleast every week, updates are monthly, devs reply.

Have you been in the WoW forums? There are glaring issues on several classes that have simple solutions, some very big bugs that lived on for years on end. Yet maybe once in a month a dev responds to a thred in a very vague manner, the thread in question getting immediatly flooded by posts. Yes they have even added a special marker to the forums when a blizzard employee posts, emphasizing how special these tidbits of information are. Also WoW launch was plagued by connection issues.

So much for super Blizzard support&polishing some people here seem to worship. Oh yes, and this is MONTHLY paid.

the game is so popular that it doesnt really matter what they do with their game. i mean ~11 million playing the game you must be doing something right.

on these forums, frogboy has stopped posting regularly because of people saying things like... "aww, i feel sad u didnt live up to those expectations you wrote in that thread. you suck"

On point - we think we should get responses because we have in the past from them.  Also, consider this, if the devs were as silent as they have been and the pubs didn't speak up at all, ESPECIALLY with the issues that plagued demigod early on, is there much chance that any of the early adopters would be playing today?

Not to disparage what Stardock has done with the titles bearing their name but official responses don't tranlate directly into patches and quality support.  Yes, Blizzard has less of a presence on their 'much' more heavily-trafficked forum but they still provide excellent support on a fairly regular basis for all of their games.  Even those that have been out for years.

I do not agree, many things have not been patched. Now Demigod is bad with attack bugs, but in WoW they're atleast as many, and that is after 3 years of "support".

Now I don't play WoW regurly or as hardcore as some, but I assure you the classbalance is not even close what it is in Demigod.

Yeah, some of my suggestions durring beta actually made it in to the release.  Probably a lot of others were making the same comments, but I like to believe the devs were listening just to me!

Stop comparing this game with WoW and SD/GPG to Blizzard. If you honestly believe Blizzard has bad support, your an idiot, i dont know any company that supports their games more than Blizzard. If companies were more like Blizzard, we wouldnt have these problems. Dissing the best gaming company is just proving how ignorant you are and shows signs of projection, in other words, projecting your feelings of SD/GPG onto Blizzard to make yourself feel better.
