You're not very smart, are you? It's 12:00am on Friday. People have lives you know. They also need to sleep.

Thursday 8-9 the list was full

Just because people have stuff to do, there is no right way that this game has 4 servers up on a friday night, when most other games have over 4000 servers up. Yes, i agree, people do have other things to do on friday nights, but 20 people playing shows just how small this games community truly is. Now, i may be slightly ignorant because i dont jknow how many people are actually in a game, but 4 servers on a friday night seems so minimal.

Also Jager, you bolded friday as if it was a day in the middle of the week, friday is like the weekend considering most people don't have school/work on saturdays.

what game has 4000 servers up?

Indeed.  Play every now and then and you'll see active times... only time today I saw a 1-2 games live was after some sort of server issue between 8-10pm (sad to say that, but it was quick).   Plently of games to choose from.  Also, I hope you got your refund.  Good addition to the community.

It's almost 1 freaking am on a weekday(technically weekend). Yes, Satuday is tomorrow, but that doesn't mean people are going to be playing past midnight. Most people sleep in through Friday night to Saturday morning.

Maggots are dead?

yes.... maggot are dead... well, undead.  The undead bug, but you don't really get it unless you USE AN INAPPROPRIATELY SIZED FONT IN A DIFFERENT COLOR IN BOLD.

The only thing that's dead here are brains. And my faith in humanity.

so many people lose faith in humanity on demigod forums... hehe

Note the sarcasm before stats which clearly show healthy activity.

/sigh fanboys

Hey - I was just happy for a reason to use big fonts and different colors.  :D

I wouldn't call 437 players online healthy. It's rather quiet right now, but naturally there are good reasons for that.

Either way I wasn't talking about you so......

I expected the fanboys to get all pissy about a thread like this. But you can't argue with facts, some people are just too thick headed to see what's in front of them instead of seeing and hearing what they want.

A single datapoint is insufficient to indicate a trend. And, your trolling is... boring?

Theres no doubt that the initial problems with networking and the bad reviews from peope such as gamespot hurt the sales. Id like this game to do better, particularly as I live in Australa and find it impossible to get a game at many times of the day. Hopefully it can get around by word of mouth and overcome its bad ratings to some extent. I wouldnt say the game is dying, but its not doing fantastic either. What has happened was well deserved though. Stardock should have known enough to do a open beta test with a world wide audience, and Im afraid that they really did drop the ball on this one.

Most of the posts in this thread are pretty pointless. The game could still sink or do well, I dont think anyone can predict the future on this one. I also dont think trying to talk the game up or down on this forum is going to make much difference to the final outcome.

So maggots are actually zombies? there for Flys are just flying zombies.

Don't get me wrong, i love this game. I just find it sad that it's such a small game, with a lot of potential. And as an above poster mentioned, SD/ GPG got what they deserved for releasing the game in a beta state.

If i could go back in time, i would warn GPG/ SD of this mess and hopefully there would be a better outcome. All i was doing was pointing out that this game is going to see it's end very soon unless something dramatic happens. Yes it is a trolling thread, but i dont care, at least im not as bad as Chaosnaska, im sure you all remember him.

Not everyone is Blizzard who takes 10 years to develop a game, though.  I still think the game was deserving of acclaim at its release regardless of all of its blunders.

Come on now people. Some of you are acting like they released the game knowing there would be issues. As far as everyone knew the game was 99% ready to be released and the multiplayer would be fine. Sure, there were a couple bugs that were known but not fixed, but nothing game breaking/reason to push back the game. The problem was that the multiplayer system didn't scale like they thought it would combined with the early release that screwed everyone. Could they have run a larger beta and perhaps caught the multiplayer problem? Sure, but it comes down to extra money spent to do something, which appeared at the time, completely unnesecaery.

I don't like to say "I told you so!", but I'm going to say it anyway. When they released the beta, and only way to get in was to preorder, I criticized them for making such a dump move and suggested they should make it an open beta. The counter arguments I got from people (fanboys who preordered and were in the beta) was that small community can give "better" feedback and there won't be any whiners screaming this&that is OP. WELL WHO WAS RIGHT NOW!?! :D You and your fucking "small community", well that's what you are stuck now! A SMALL COMMUNITY! Learn from your mistake Stardock and make an open beta next time. You would have easily caught the connection problems in beta, like it should have been.

open beta had nothing to do with poor release. the game was put on piratebay, server overload....

open beta may have allowed more people to test but i doubt enough to overload servers and even though they had a small community they already knew about connections being shitty

SO IN YOUR FACE, research before being an asshole
