Pantheon - Time between tournaments

All

I'm curious as to everyone's thoughts on the time delays between Pantheon tournaments.  I play Pantheon almost exclusively, far more fun for me...for whatever reason...it's not the point. Point is this next Pantheon tournament won't start until Sunday, which leaves Friday and Saturday without a tournament going on, the time of the week when people actually have the most gaming time.  It doesn't seem right to me.  I understand that the tournament never ends at the same time, but maybe a 4 or 6 or 8 hour break between the next tourney?  Maybe 12 hours?

I know that the tournaments lose meaning without there being any separation between each other, but on the other hand... I might not even tough the game this weekend without one going on, because I simply don't enjoy custom games much as it all stands currently.

That being said - greatly enjoy the game.  It does many more things right than it does wrong, a lot of people just don't see that because we all see problems with a magnifying glass and gloss right over the good stuff... take it for granted. I for one, was seriously and truly encouraged when I saw Frogboy's note posting that the multiple icon (multiple minon exploit) was going to be taken care of in 1.1.

Sorry for the length... if any of you have gamed with me before...I do go on.

Yeah I really don't understand why the pantheon requires a wait between finishes. What's the point? Seriously, how does this benefit anyone, player or company? Why can't they just start instantly and, on the off-chance that someone would prefer to know how the last one ended rather than actually play in the tourney themselves, the player is free to go check the stats on the site.

less time between tournaments would be cool, but at least for me, it encourages me to try other MP components of the game (which might be the purpose).  I'll gladly play with you in the future Myachi if you like during pantheon downtime...

Off topic - can anyone else create a new post on the forums?  I'm unable to do so after yesterday's maintenance.  PM me or make a quick post here if you any of you can.  Thanks!

I don´t see the purpose of Pantheon anyway. What´s the benefit of it ? Besides I plaxy it exclusively too, because i like automatch without fix teams and using/earning favor items too.

Personally, I don't mind waiting 1 or 2 days for a new Pantheon. It would lose it's meaning if it started too soon. But the 4 day wait is a little excessive.

I can, but only in the Demigod, Game Journals, or off-topic sections. All the other sections are gone.

My only assumption on this, is that it forces everyone to go into Skirmish where they can freely experiement and play about with builds and characters they might want to use next pantheon, so it doesn't fuck their panth stats - not that they matter atm :P

I think its a neat touch. I've experimented with a new TB build I will use next season, and an Ooze UB I might use, was gonna run some trials with a QoT today too :D

Besides, next season starts friday not sunday ;)

Well skirmish is basically the exact same thing as pantheon besides the light vs dark theme. The pantheon is just like a visible competition for the community to i guess get everyone excited. I would suggest giving a skirmish a try during the downtime, as someone who avoids custom games myself i can sympathize.

Pantheon also needs to be extended in points I think. 1000000 just doesn't feel like enough, would rather see it at 10000000, so there is a good duration for it.
