Simspeed, why everyone gets punished

Simspeed, why everyone gets punished

Ok i know what simspeed is for and thats all well and good but i would like to see something of an indication of someones simspeed before the game starts.  There is nothing worse then waiting 10-20 min in custom games to get a full room.  Then you get ingame and wow its lagging like shit.  Hmm i wonder why is it my quadcore?  or maybe my 4 gigs of ram or my 2 512mb video cards.  But oh NO its some fag thats using a comp from 5 years ago ruining it for everone.  Is there anyways to put in a meter or a boot command?  Because playing demigod at neg 2 sim speed because of some other guy is insane

Whats wrong with the G9? You ever used it?  Love that mouse.
Nothing's wrong with it, it's a decent gaming mouse, it's just that the Razer Deathadder is better, especially with a proper pad like the Razer Mantis/Goliathus Control.

I dont care what pad you put it on, my 3200 DPI Laser will out do your 1800 DPI Optical.

Not to mention interchangable grips and weights.

Really it mostly comes down to comfort.  If you don't mind moving your mouse more than me and use a palm grip, the DeathAdder is for you.  I work with more of a claw grip and prefer a mouse that is a bit taller and shorter, and I like only having to move 1/4 inch to move the camera 360 degrees.

I honestly have only been in 1 game where my opponents simspeed were noticable. And unlike bad connections, the game didn't lag (it was actually quite smooth), it simply went verrrrry slow. So choppy gameplay is most likely just a shitty connection.

Just to make it clear:

Even simspeed -10 wouldn't cause the game to lag!

The game will run very slow, so every pc can handle the data. Make sure to read the sticky simspeed thread to understand the meaning of simspeed.

I take exception to that. I willingly have sex with other men yet can run this game just fine at high settings on my slightly dated pc (simspeed 4 in a 3vs3 on Cataract):

Athlon X2 5200+ (Windsor)

2GB DDR2800 RAM (4-4-4-12 timings)

eVGA 8800GT 512MB (free upgrade after my 7900GT bit it!)

A hard drive or two, both 7200RPM SATA 3.0Gbps (the one I put games on holds neither the OS nor the page file)

A wireless mouse (unspeakable, I know)

A quality but non-fancy keyboard

I was one of those having a -2 Sim in a 4v4 game several days ago.  I could'nt beleive it.  I offered to quit, they said no to my surprise. It's been that way since 1.1 for me.  I have a "decent" rig.  I use to hold 2-3 sim minimum before 1.1, now, even with every setting to low/off, anything more than a 3v3 puts me under 0.  I found a fix; a fix that works but is almost worse than the sluggish gameplay: Using "/nosound" now puts me up to Sim 8 offline, Sim 7 Online.  Just have to play in complete and total silence is all  :\
