Let us switch teams during game

What happens is that when i join a 3v3 hoping for a good game, usually one person d/c when the game loads and then 1 person mysteriously dissappears soon after. It becomes a 3v1 (unplayable) and we have to remake the game.

 

Could you give us a command so that we can switch teams? It can be a vote system so that it wont get abused or an option by the host. You could also limit to Custom Games so that people wont farm for favor. It would turn many 3v1 games into 2v2 so we can play in peace.

This idea is absolutely dreadful and can be exploited to the maximum.

In a perfect world this could work but unfortuately there are a lot of dicks out there who believe it's cool to do whatever it takes to win, even if it's to make the game a whole lot less fun for the other players. Blizzard never implemented this feature into Battle.net and they have been successful for a very long time because of their decisions. Obviously it cannot come to pass.

This just got put into DotA recently and it's overall a good feature. When a game goes from 5v5 to 5v3 in the blink of an eye it's nice to have someone switch and make it a 4v4 again. The issue comes in from the money in DotA. The team with the leavers gets all the leaver items, plus the bonus gold since the leaver left, plus the bonus gold that trickles in automatically since it's split between people. So once they get the 4th person they have a natural leg up.

 

I don't know how it'd be exploited if it (like dota) needa 100% approval. You cant switch unless every single person in the game OKs it. Maybe I'm not thinking sinisterly enough right now =P

You speak the truth. Its not exploitable at all since every player in the game has to agree with it, if they don't, it doesn't happen, if they do, its not an exploit.

Should have been implemented from the start.
