abilities not working

fix that shit

im tired of abilites not working when i select and click them its very annoying, special when using bite with erebus as its life and death

How does writing "k thx bye!!!" "make sure [the very big actual problem] was going to be addressed"?

Anyway, you'll have to be more specific. Can you not select the abilities in the first place; or does the user interface reflect that they were selected, but nothing happens?

Also, if you're going to say "k thx bye", you should do it the proper way, which is "kthxbai".

It is a widely known bug with numerous posts made about it. Sad thing is it has been around since early beta and was never fixed. Oh well, simple move command usually overrides it. I've just made it a habit of issues a move command after every spell with Erebus... sucks, but works for now. But for the record, this is a VERY FRUSTRATING BUG!!!

I had this occur to me tonight. I kept clicking to attack, my demigod just sat there while the other demigod walked off. Needless to say I raged at my monitor. It's like sometimes the game just stops functioning and refuses to do the action you tell it to.

play erbeus and you will know for sure what I mean, and i did post specifics of the ability simply stop working, there is no more too it, u select bite, left click on enemy demigod and nothing happens. end of story.

and everyone who is annoyed by "k thx bye!!!" needs to lighten up

it is worse with sedna her healing basically keeps her alive i had it happen to me many times

This happens with every demigod and is pretty well known bug.  Its been around since earliest beta I can even remember.  Lets all hope they can squash this sucker once and for all!

Actually I've found it at it's worst with UB. He often will just start herky-jerkin around when he should be attacking.

Ah. Well I don't like playing him, so that might be why I havnt noticed it

I can say that 50-60% of the time Bite doesnt work after a bate-swarm.

Hey there I get this bug most frequently when playing TB. Sometimes when I hit hotkey for fireball and then click on enemy hero TB just keeps creeping and ignoring my command untill I click the fireball manually from menu, and yes I got the red frame instead of regular cursor and yes I was in range.

Ya, played a game today with Sedna; 4v4, seriously, it missed more than it healed.  It's so frustrating that you have the mana, your in range, your allie needs a heal asap or death, and click. . .  nothing;  click again. . . nothing.  You can right click somewhere really fast, and then hit the heal spell and click again, and it MIGHT work, or not.  Seeing an alli die, you just KNOW they are saying "why the HECK did he just sit there and not heal me???"

I found that a high APM has helped me with the bug. Simply moving, then reissuing your order can fix your bug. Frankly though, if your APM isn't high enough to make this bug unnoticeable, then you probably wouldn't have been that good anyways.

This was funny. APM has very little to do with this game considering that multitasking is fairly minimal compared to other RTS games.

 

But, if APM = move order, then yes, it does help. That doesn't fix the root of the problem though.

Thats so true!  1st time that happened to me I was like god I hope my teammate doest think I am just being a total idiot.  Stupid bug.

this happens to every demigod is and extremely annoying.  nothing like dying or missing a kill because of a bug as old as beta

can confirm that... I bat swarmed in front so I could cut him off, wanted to bite and he ran away with me just standing there...

confirmed, not just with Erebus bite.  It happens fairly often that i select an ability and cast it on a target and nothing happens.
