DO NOT PLAY PANTHEON

This is the new Forces of Darkness strategy, in order for them to not lose so horribly, they have decided to not play the game at all.

I lost my furious ..thing, the +30% attack speed proc,  But no biggie,  i didn't really care for it.  Got the swift anklet today,  Muchhh more useful (As rook).

Hang on, what's the deal with favour items? How are you LOSING items? I thought you just earned favour points which you then used to be able to buy favour items ONE per round in each game? Can you actually get items and keep them through it or what? i don't get it..

*edit - dont get it as until present have barely ever been able to actually get into a pantheon game with humans.

Of course, this is the way it's SUPPOSED to work. 

My points get erased no matter what I do . They won't even go up anymore, i win and get 150 favor and still have 20 after. So depressing, I was falling in love with the mana leech assassin favor hehe. I'll try playing only customs and see how that goes I guess.

Deepjay, once you buy a favor item you are supposed to have it forever, and can use it again for free. At the beginning of the matach you can pick one favor item that you've unlocked, or pay to unlock a new one.

i've been avoiding pantheon, because the first time and only time i got into a game, i was matched with and against teams full of bots.  thanks for the heads up.  i'll tell my friend who keeps complaining about losing favor (second time he's had his points disappear) that he's dumb for playing in it.

I played a single player tourney on easy, got the favor item I wanted, then went straight to pantheon, just pantheon mind you, and I've kept my item thus far. I don't know if there are different things you could do to keep your favor items, but this one worked.

I know how to edit favor, but it only works for offline. As soon as i went online it reset it back to 10 or 20 or something. At least for me. At first i had no favor problems at all, offline stuff carried into online. Then it reset my points but I could still choose the last favor I had selected. Now I can't use any of them and I have no points.

liq3, did you have your favor points and items at the beginning of the Pantheon match?  Just curious if you lost them from the start of Panetheon or at the End of the Pantheon game.

This just happened to me too.  Played single player for a bit then decided to try Pantheon, got into the game and the favor items where gone, figured that would be seperate anyway... bought the 2nd favor item with what points where avaiable, won the game and got 190 favor points.  The acheivements listed something like 245... before it was around 2000 from single player.

Went to play another pantheon game and got crushed, got 50 points and now that's all that shows up.  Went to go play single player and had nothing but 50 points.  (no favor items)

I had a number of items and playtime into the single player... reallys sucks to have it all disappear.  I hope this is fixed soon, don't mind playing to get it all back as long as it all doesn't dissappear again

if you edit your favor, then go host a LAN game and play some AI bots.  Once the game starts, just buy whatever favor item you want.  Then exit the match, do not exit the game.  Now go join a regular internet game, Pantheon or whatever, and you'll still have your favor...though it will be negative again when you quit the game and you'll have to do this process over again.

@T-Man - my experience has been that I have my favor at the start of the match and am able to pick my items.  When the match ends, I'm told how much favor I just won and at this point I usually quit DG completely (as I don't have time for another game).  Next time I play, my favor is negative again.  I am assuming my favor is getting destroyed when the match ends and I am awarded favor points.

My achievements and favor have gotten broken after pretty much every game update no matter which game type I play. This time it got stuck at -1375 (cost of the last favour item I bought, and the only one I have left) when I started playing a custom game.

This time it's stuck at -1375 and achievements keep resetting every game. After a game is finished I check game.prefs and the negative points value has gone down, but the next game I play it goes back to -1375 at the start. That part's new for me.

Also, editing the game.prefs won't "stick" anymore, I can get it to work for one single player game then it reverts back to -1375.

Yeah, I thought it might be another AoK rant too, I came in here to groan at the new lows of humanity then saw an actual issue.

Been playing around some more with it trying to unstick. Oddly if I play a couple of custom games the negative favor in game.prefs will keep getting smaller by the amount of favor I earn, but the displayed in game favor doesn't go up.

In single player I can earn favor and the displayed number will go down, and I can play with game.prefs to get favor back, achievements and delete/add unlocked items but as soon as I play custom it reverts back to -1375 with no achievements and the one item I unlocked last, and will be like that for single player matches again.

I've tried deleting LastGame.DGReplay (My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod\replays\[Profile Name]) since it seems to store details of your favor from the last game in there too but still doesn't un-stick my favor.

It's like there's a backup of my favor stored elsewhere now which will overwrite game.prefs and that's gotten broken to the point won't even update at the end of games anymore.

Ok, completely new profiles that start with 150 favor in single player start with -1375 favor in multiplayer too, so it looks like it's something linked to my impulse log in that's broken. I can't find any more local files so I'm left wondering if there's something stored on the impulse servers now.

Can I ask if the SD guys if there's anything to do with favour stored on the impulse servers now? If so I think it's kinda died and left a horrible mess on my account.

@ OP, Welcome to the club.  I'm just now starting to get out of my -700 favor slap down (Still only have 1 favor item, and lost the 5 that I purchased prior... ).

It seems like it's a bug that happens when you switch between skirmish or pantheon games to custom games, but I don't really have details (I do all 3).

O' and don't bother trying to dig yourself out of your negitive favor hole, I did it once (with a -500 favor ding) and got out, repurchased 2-3 items only to have them all removed but the one I had chosen to use that game.

@SD, I believe it's at the end of a game.  You get in, have all your favor item options.  I was saving for more, so I picked an item I already owned.

When I start a new game, I'm at negitive favor, and only item that is availiable is the item I last used.

I keep winning and earning more favor, and my favor just stays stuck permanantly at a negative number. I'm stuck with the 15% movement item which is the only one I have. Earning more favor has no effect, it just doesn't even change.

What if each one is different? So like say single player, then multiplayer skrimish, Pantheon, and custom games?

You start with them and it may actually take a few games for pantheon to nuke your favor.

same thing happened to me. played the SP tournament through with 7 of the demigods, amassed a ton of favor and items, decided to try pantheon, played one game, bought one item in the game, and after the game had -950 favor and no items.

didnt bother to try to re-earn the favor, i just edited myself 10k favor points and re-bought everything. but i for damn sure wont attempt multiplay again, and the SP game (if you can call it that) is played out so... i guess im done with DG until we get some new stuff.

favor items are just a very small part of the game. Patheon is still very good to group up against ppl and fine tune your skills and experience with the game so when these bugs are finally worked out that your not at a disadvantage of learning curve as of everyone else that is still playing online.

Would have been nice to have seen the warning in the OP put in-game by the devs about a week ago...so that those of us who are already victimized by these bugs could have opted to avoid them before it's too late. 

The OP says "you have been warned", but that only applies to people who didn't get fubared by these bugs already.
