How do I change my name?

i kinda wanna know myself. dident plan ahead that my accountname would be my ingamename.

Bad news boys. I figured out how to change my name.

And when I log into the new name, it says I just signed in with the old.

So I uninstalled impulse and tried again.  Still old name.

This blows.

Could you tell me how you did it anyways? They will probably fix it.

I changed my name as well. I did it with the My Account tab in this forum. I changed it, relogged in with the new name through impulse and Demigod, but when I log into Demigod, it still has my old name. Even though my new login name works.

I changed our family's Impulse Account Name in mid-March (beta) from my dad's nick to my own.

Since then, I log in as Sorceresss (that part works) ... but then, the game programme stubbornly tells me that I logged in as CyberMage (which is FALSE), and identifies me during a MP game as CyberMage.

There's an obvious paradox between having successfully logged in as S and then being told that you've logged in as CM.

That I could live with. My beef is that I do not wish to be associated with my 58-year-old dad's game nick : we do not have the same gender, my age is 22, and besides, I play better!

I'd imagine it would be in the next patch that addresses game issues other than connects.

I have this problem as well. I used an old star dock account, which had my real name as the user name. That didn't matter back then, since I only played single player, but with Demigod I've started playing online. And I really don't want my real name to show in every game I'm involved in. I've changed username on the account, and it still displays my real name in game.

And if they do fix it, can you extend the name limit by 4 letters please   Then I can use my normal Tag for all my games!

I am with Sorceresss (CyberMage) and Sutekh and many others on this issue.  I realize that the primary concern of the development team right now is to construct a proxy server network to allow global connectivity for online games.  However, this issue is preventing me from playing the game online.  I do not want to use my primary account name as my in-game handle.  Because I purchased the game through a digital download, Impulse has warned me that if I create a new account, Demigod will not be available from that account.

Judging by the dev team response to the connectivity issues, I am very optimistic that they take the community concerns seriously.  It's very encouraging to see daily updates (even a video update) explaining the various steps they are taking to resolve issues.  I just want to make sure that the inability to change in-game usernames for online games is on the radar.

The latest Demigod update fixes this issue!  Thanks Dev Team for all your hard work!

Still not fixed for me in game. Doesn't matter though as I can't connect to any games anyways.

It doesn't go through instantly. It took my name about a week.
