The reviews I've seen seem to have a trend. They love the gameplay or recommend the game, and then give it a not-great score.
Because of the broken multiplayer.

"At the moment I'm writing this, Demigod's multiplayer is just plain busted"
"Personally, I'm looking forward to playing more when that shining day arrives, at which point I'll be re-reviewing the thing."
