Oaks minions attack on own?

Hello all. Just wanted to know if the oaks raise dead minions will self attack if not ordered too. I couldn't tell in my first game as the action was pretty fast paced. Also, is there a pause feature? Trying to answer the phone while fending off grunts is tough. Thx.

F10 will bring up the menu which also pauses the game in SP (you can also click the button, it's in the middle at the very top of the screen.)

From what I have seen, the minions do attack on their own.

Also, there is no pause built into the game that I have seen.  As far as I can tell, single player and multiplayer were built identically; one just connects to other players.  As such, there is no pause on either one.

Edit: Really, F10 pauses the game in single player?  Maybe I am blind, but I could have sworn that my skirmishes did not pause when I brought up the options!

When you are creating the game you need to go into the Game Options and there is an option for allowing or disallowing pausing.

Also, Oak's minions do attack on their own. They aren't great at it (they seem to prefer to fly around). I think the problem is that they really want to attack whatever he is attacking, but since he can kill most grunts in two hits they don't get a chance to hit much. However, he has abilities that make him do more damage based on how many he has (from the Deathward I mean).

If you really want to see them attack then just start hitting a tower. You can see that they will claw at it as well. They're just not great at attacking grunts.

End of htiger23's quote

By default, the game isn't set to allow it on skirmish (it does on tournament though.)

To set it for skirmish - click the game options button, and set timeouts to 3 or infinite, depending on your preference. When you bring up the menu in game, it will have a "pause game" button.

Thx guys. Hopefully they can patch the minions abilities to attack grunts. Pretty cool game though will wait a bit and then throw my hat in the multiplayer ring....
