Multiplayer gamer behaviour.

Dont get me wrong, most players are just fine and dandy more or less you suffer from few flaws...

People quit if game draws too long if enemy is just farming you and trying to prevent the battlefield objectives being met, even as theyre winning.

Folks are really yelling in full caplocks in chat and honestly, I dont mind little heated arguments, but some players only yell profanities on nonstop flood.

So, what's the Stardock/Whatnot policy on this sort of bullshit? I dont see any avenues to either report a player for either totally idiotic abusive gameplay, dont get me wrong I got nothing against losing. I just dont want to be in a match for three hours when im losing.

Neither am I really too amused about totally idiotic banter over chat that crosses lines of abusive/racistical/whatnot boundaries three folds.

I hope that Stardock doesn't involve itself in regulating player behavior. As long as you can ignore/block troublesome users, that will be sufficient. I absolutely hate police state-like games (MMOs, namely), where you are muzzled and have to be pleasant.

A little smack talk here and there is part of gaming, my friend. :dur:

Yes an /ignore or /block would indeed be awesome.

I'm not sure about ingame, but in the chat you should contact a moderator (kryo, Zubaz). I'm not quite sure yet with the whole overlay thing but it should still just be an IRC channel so they should have logs, but a screenshot wouldn't hurt either.

Edit: Obviously echoing the above posters who posted while I was writing - SD generally does not police this kind of thing heavily, but in special cases and very repeat offenders they may do something.

Heh, I dont mind little stabbing smacktalk here and there.

Its just that in this occasion things were crossing even my lines for smack. At the time every time you kill an enemy, claim one battle objective and you get caplocks flood about whore/bitch/motherfucker. It is a long way from a good smacktalk.

I personally would like some sort of avoid player x feature. That would allow players to pretty much self-regulate folks they dont enjoying playing together. Of course that might lead to something like folks avoiding all higher ranking players or some other imbalances like that, but seriously.... internet anonymity = piss starts to collect to some peoples skulls. People whom play just for fun and are casual players. I cant see them enjoying a game where folks capslock flood you with profanities and game/developers have not really any treshold/limits to control such sillyness.

I know that if it was just a 1 on 1 game, and someone was just farming kills off of me to be abusive/annoying, I would just park my DG behind my citadel and then go afk for a bit if it's a quite obvious loss.

this was one of the things that ruined DotA for me.  i was really hoping it wouldn't carry over to Demigod, but from what i've been hearing/reading, it has.  looks like it'll be friends-only games for me!

We're working on a karma system along with a bunch of filtering options that will make those kinds of users not able to play in any games you host or be matched with you.`

Lol at people who say "my level of smack talk is fine, but his is not". Come on, you are on internet and still haven't realized that for every "level" there is another "level" of retardedness that is even higher?
