Is it frozen? Did it crash and the error is in the background? Is it still attempting to connect?
These are all questions I just asked myself as I was attempting to play a Pantheon game. The connection info window stopped updating, and the game seemed to hang. The mouse was still moving, of course.
Now, the problem is, since the game hangs whenever it does something network related, it's impossible to tell whether it had an "Unhandled Exception" error, and this window never minimizes your game, so there is no way to know without alt tabbing... but alt tabbing seems to also be one of the causes for these unhandled exceptions!
In short:
It crashes a lot. It crashes when alt tabbing. It hangs a lot, which makes it impossible to tell whether it's doing something or it crashed.
My log from the Unhandled Exception window (btw, this is the first time I actually managed to get to this window and didn't have to kill Demigod.exe... it might be a good idea to launch a separate program to do this task in case the game crashes, so it's accessible even if you kill the game process):
