Digital Download

Quick question....i tried to search for the answer so forgive me if i missed it somewhere....

At what time will the digital download be available on the 14th?

 

I pre-ordered the game and after ordering it told me to download the impulse client (honestly shouldn't it have told me to download it first then order through impulse?)

Would i have been better to have ordered it through Impulse first so ... i'm assuming...the Impulse client would inform me that the game was ready to download and unlock....does Impulse pre-download the game then unlock it on the day of release like Steam does sometimes?

 

Well hopefully someone can answer a few of these questions for me  :)

Well not sure if there really is not hint that impulse is needed to download the digital copy. but honestly, you should have cared a bit yourself how you get a digital copy ;p and you can upgrade to a hard copy for 5$+shipping. (important: look for the shipping cost first though)

 

And there is no preloading and locking that i am aware of. But i never saw any demand for it either.

I was wondering if someone could explain to me how the digital download will work.  Once the game is released, will it simply be a matter of connecting to the Impulse client and downloading it?  Will the Impulse client know that you have already paid for the game?  I pre-ordered the game but am now worrying slightly over these issues.

One the game is released, when you sign into Impulse with your Stardock.net account, the game will show up and be available for download. If the game was purchased under a different email address (like maybe one associated with a PayPal account), there may be issues initially with getting the game to show up until we merge your accounts together.

Yes, make sure you register and pay with the same email adresses. A few people had problems logging in to Demigod because of this. If you have already pre-ordered and have a different email that you paid with and registered with, you have to contact Stardock support to ask them to merge your email. You should do this now to avoid dissapoint on day of release...just my opinon :P

There are no "issues". You just log in, and if you have payed for the game you are allowed to download it. And yes, Impulse will know if you have payed for it. No need to worry ;)

Impulse will not let you pay for a game usig PayPal if you are pre-ordering a copy of anything, Demigod or other future games. The download should be available 12:01am on the release date, possibly a few minutes later due to server issues and whatnot. And not 12:01am EST, just 12:01am in whatever time zone you live in.

Yea with the pre-order they didn't allow paypal....

 

Of course i registered the same email on the pre-order i am using with Impulse...
