You're Banned!: The Forum Game

Okay, here's what you do for this game: You have to "ban" the person who posted above you for an outrageous, silly, or funny reason. Got it?

Banned for having a nice play on words.

banned for playing with your words

banned for sexually harassing those words. I am serving you with a restraining order, requiring you to remain 500 feet away from said words at all times. Have a nice day.

banned for only 500 ft

too easy to shot across that distance

banned for a good point.

Let me think...

~300 ft - I can hit a target with a 2.5 MOA, meaning if I shoot at the center spot between your eyes, it would hit anywhere in a 2.5 inch diameter, or the space between your pupils.

~500 ft - I can hit an area a little over 4 inches in diameter, or the space between the outer edges of your eyes.

~1000 ft - I can hit an area about 8.5 inches in diameter, or a little larger than the width of a human head.

~2000 ft - I can hit the human torso when firing at center mass (not taking into consideration temperature, humidity, atmospheric aberration, etc.).

Okay, the restraining order has been upgraded to 5000 ft to protect the innocent.

Note: These numbers are based on the use of an M1 Garand with all components manufactured between 1937 - 1963 and using HXP manufactured M2 Ball 30.06 rounds circa 1970.

Banned for using advanced weapons systems to commit a simple murder.

Or just take a 6-inch knife, and stab them to death.

Btw, committing murder, is a lot heavier of a crime than breaking a simple restraining order from a judge. I dont think the killer would mind doing that, as long as they take down their target.

Banned! :typo:

banned for maybe knowing and not telling.

I know murder is a bigger deal, but it depends on where you are whether or not a restraining order works. In Texas, they take them pretty seriously, especially this county. That means that if you get spotted violating it (even murderers have to do their research and many are compulsive about slip ups), the cops already have a reason to pick you up and the resulting arrest might yield evidence for further charges. I know places in Iowa where they don't care, and thus you're right about someone having a much easier time taking out their target, even if they linger about for a bit.

And Ryat, I know there are better rifles and heavier weapons, but if someone can do that much damage with an iron sight with a 50+ year old weapon, then a good restraining order would have to require someone to move out of town. Of course, as stated above, the order is mostly a preemptive method for those showing obsessive behavior.

Banned for the unfortunate deer hunting accident...

banned for I don't know the particulars of what you're referencing. Do tell. We can trade 'stupid people with guns' stories.

Banned because you said that immediately after I clicked on the Mythbusters.

Banned because I wasn't talking particulars, but generalities (there are a lot of deer in Iowa, hence a lot of deer hunters, hence an ostensibly elevated danger of related accidents).

banned for I was slightly confused. I was talking about intentional murder, so the deer accident thing threw me off. figured there might be sarcasm involved.

Banned for sarcasm, intentional murder, deer, accidents, and homosexual genocide.

Banned for not only genocide, but a homosexual one as well.
