Forum Update - March 27, 2009

Hello everyone!

An update has been pushed to the forums. There have only been 2 major updates to the forums:

1. You should now be able to update your avatar and personal image regardless of whether you are using Flash 9 or Flash 10. This should also work for any site that didn't work before for Flash 10, but that has not been fully tested yet.
2. Forum search is now working.  We are using Google as our search engine for the time being, but that should provide far better results than what we had before.

Please let me know if you notice any further issues or problems related to the above 2.

No, that is a different item than the forum uploads.

Okay, thanks Island Dog and GunslingerBara.  I'll be looking for that to happen in the future then because I have another program that uses Flash 10 to view live streaming video (MLB.com).

I do have a small list of issues for the Metaverse that I'll fix at some point.  When I do get around to it I'll ask everyone on the forums what changes they'd like to see.

This is great news!

There has been great discussion on this over the months since we first heard that the MV may get some love.

Here is the list that we compiled, from the OP of this thread, though it may be what you all ready have.

We will certainly get our heads back together though.

Attention to Forum Medals that are not working. (Purple Heart, Achievements 6-9, Fleet Admiral, Author & Commenter)

The "forum stats" also has not updated for many months, probably for significantly more than a year.

I'd like to 2nd that request. It does seem that site activity has been continually updated and is correct in your User Profile (3859 replies) but that hasn't been reflected in the MV Forum Stats (2838 replies) since the major forum upgrade. There were supposed to be some kind of equivilent stats kept on Impulsedriven but that has really not seemed to work out in any kind of useful manner.

I feel some what famous, but I will assume Im for imfamous for an attempt to intercept Annatar would-be karma. Im sure Annatar wont let me forget it either. And to the other Carbon, I would never ruin your stellar reputation! Good Sir!
