Entrenchment help needed

from Stardock Forums

I am not able to get maps from the original SINS to work in Entrenchment.  I can't get downloaded maps to work either.

I've tried changeing the version numbers in the notepad file and that didn't work.  Can any one help?

I'm still not figuring everything out.  I was able to get the default maps from Sins to work in Entrenchment, but can't get any user made maps to work.  What should I do?

thanks for the plug kitkun.

it sounds like you need to edit the galaxy.manifest in the entrenchment folder

add the extra maps names to the bottom of the file and alter the maps count at the top.

the map converter only updates the map format from earlier to 3 with the changes for normalstart & quickstart.

also there is a rumour that the galaxy.manifest might vanish in a future patch, which would eliminate this type of problem.

The need for it has been eliminated. The patch is complete and is entering testing.

I did that and ran into two problems.  First, the game would show an error screen at startup and crash.  Second, the game would start, but the map wouldn't show up in the game.  What should I do now?

 

P.S.  All you veteran gamers out there are probably thinking, "darn noobs!"  Sorry.:(
