Problem with trial version of Objectdock

I downloaded the trail version of Objectdock, but I kept getting this error that said "Only works on Windows XP" on every boot-up. (I have Vista ultimate x64) Regardless, the program opened up and worked fine. 1 problem, though. Windows kept starting up the Windows Classic or Windows Standard color scheme by default and I had to manually change it to Windows Aero on every boot. So, I eventually got tired of the error and having to keep changing the Scheme manually, so I uninstalled the program. The error went away but the color scheme is still defaulted to Windows Classic. What happened? Why did Objectdock do this to me?

If you have WindowBlinds installed -

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on "System info" then click the "Copy text" button. Paste that info here.

Also, whenever I try to make changes in WindowBlinds, it changes back to Windows Classic again.

What you describe is what happens when the Windowblinds trial version expires. In the configuration panel under "visual styles" choose "Windows Aero", then exit the configuration and uninstall the Windowblinds trial version. If you wish to continue using Windowblinds you'll have to purchase a copy.

Lantec, first off the WindowsBlinds program has never expired. I downloaded it specifically to copy and paste the information on my last post. I have 30 days left in my trial. Secondly, selecting Windows Aero doesn't change the way my windows look. It remains in Windows Classic mode. The problem is that Objectdock caused Windows Classic to open by default on every boot and this will not change.

What happened?

Sounds like it's turning off Windows Desktop Management........You might try running Ccleaner to remove all traces of Object Dock and then turn Aero back on via the Personlize dialog.

You're best bet is to download my colors it has 3-4 free themes including icons & gadgets & wallpaper & no trial expire, basicly it's windowblinds & iconpackager combined, personally tho just purchase object desktop it's well worth it,same goes for object dock & cursorfx, actually buy one not sure which then you'll get a discount on the others

wait, so did this happen after installing WindowBlinds or ObjectDock?  ObjectDock really doesn't do anything that would affect your Windows Theme.  Try opening a run dialog (WinKey+R) and typing 'services.msc'.  In the window that comes up, find the "Themes" service and make sure that it is set to start automatically.
