Impulse (error message)

When I go to use Impulse this is what I get "Stardock Impulse has encouered a problem and needs to close". :annoyed:   I've deleted and reinstalled. I just updated OD and would like to use my new programs but I keep getting this same message. I'm running Windows XP sp3. I'm so disappointed:(   Don't know what to do:pout: Any suggestions, I would be grateful!

Silly, but normal question whenever someone uninstalls a program.  After you uninstalled Impulse did you run a clean up program like CCleaner?  Did you reboot before reinstalling?  Did everything work okay prior to udating OD?

G'day,

Having a similar problem with impulse. (XP pro Update 3)

At the final stage of the install/repair/modify or impulse initialization I get the the following

"The application failed to initialize properly 0xc000135. Click on Ok to terminate application"

Cheers Fred

The message your getting usually means that Impulse is having trouble connecting to our servers. This can be caused by extra 'security' apps, like SpyBot, AdAware and the like. Even some anti-virus applications can have their own 'spybot' functions, and Firewall settings.

Check your system (SysTray) for any of these 'watcher' type programs and try to turn them off, then launch Impulse and see if it connects.

If it still fails, run the file below and copy & paste the results into an e-mail to support@stardock.com;

Follow this link in Internet Explorer (any other Browser will not work):

http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/enumerate_startup.bat

Save the Batch file, run it, and copy & paste the text from the log file it generates on the desktop into a support ticket.
