how do i registar my game?

i have a fully legit, store bought copy of sins of a solar empire ( i even have the recipt of purchase)
but i want to update my game and i need 2 registar it, to do this i need a serial key, which i don't have for some strange reason.what do i do?

You'll have to send them proof of purchase, they should ask for a picture of the box/receipt, and you'll probably have to take one of the manual or sticker above the cd (it can be in either place, AFAIK).
But they can issue you a new key.
If you have the receit, you can just take it back to the store, and tell them they sold you a game without a serial code. At the store near me, they take them off before they put them on the shelf so nobody can read/copy them, then, they give them to you after you buy the product.
