Channels in ICO need to be improved

I've been playing sins since launch and I have to say that barring all of the balancing,  content,  lack of campaign and other technical issues discussed,  I have seen precious little concern over the actual ICO interface and specifically its lack of channel management.

This is a major problem.  Why is there no option to simply open as many channels as I need to in order to properly converse between rooms?  I cannot imagine a reason why at least 2 channels (including a user list in each) should not be available at all times via tabs.  This would improve the experience of recruiting new players to games 1000%.  As it stands now,  you must change to another channel out of your game channel, recruit, run back, repeat.  This mean you miss any messages in which ever room you are not currently in.  Also,  when you change to another channel while in a game lobby,  you cant see any of the users in the other channel.  This again could be easily solved with a tabbed interface.

Maybe I'm missing something,  but it seems pretty frustrating the way its laid out right now,  and considering this is the very first impression a lot of people will get of sins, it should be a fairly high priority to get it right.

I'd like to see a tabbed system, too.  I'd also like to be able to see who has joined a game without my joining it myself and also to be able to see what other games are available after I've joined or offered to host (put up) a game.  Of course, we also need auto-download for custom maps.

Well I can't see anythign wrong with it actualy. I'm used to it because I play Warcraft 3, Starcraft and other such games. But the Auto Download for custom games I am all for. But on another note i think you have a really good suggestion.

adding on to the channel suggestions - it'd be nice to be able to tell whether someone is using Entrenchment or not (i.e. who would be able to join a game that you make)
