Are direct connect IP games possible?

If so where can I find, in game, the IP that my friend's need to you to connect to me?

Just use Hamachi. It creats a LAN over the net. All you and your friend have to do is downlaod, install and make a room for the booth of you to join on Hamachi. Have it run in the background and make a LAN game.
