2.0 beta spectator question re Events tab

If any of you folks running the beta are also regular users of the Events tab in the Civilization Manager, can you tell us about any changes you've seen?

I ask because I just lucked into noticing that, as of 1.96, when you trade for a tech, it shows on Events as "Research complete." That's not such a big deal b/c there is no Tech Brokering option to disable, but...Does the 2.0 Events tab show a new line something like "Research acquired" to distinguish gaining a tech you can trade from gaining one you can only use?

Does seem like there's a bit less freestyle reporting than we had for the expansions, but maybe they're all just too busy playing. ;)

Re the Events tab, I still hope the devs might be able to change Kryo's answer in that other thread to "Yes." It just seems wrong not to.
