Not getting output from screenshots with PrtScr

Apologies in advance for what's probably a very simple question, but I have been beating my head against the wall trying to get screen shots to work. I had what I thought were a few nice ones (taken by hitting PrtScr), but they don't seem to be where the game thinks they should be.

According to the technical FAQ, user files on Vista systems are stored in

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire.

However, when I navigate to that folder I find a number of sub-folders including Auto-Record and Auto-Save for single and multi-player, Galaxy, Mods and Setting. Going through these folders I don't see where screenshots should or have been saved. Is there something I need to edit in, say, the Settings file to tell Sins where to save these things?

Thanks!

There's an odd bug that happens to only some Vista users it seems. For some, the Print Screen key will not work. If you re-bind the screenshot key to another, it should work fine. For me, Print Screen always worked - but it's been like this since the beginning ;)

You'll know when a shot is taken successfully, it'll give you a message in-game.

Thanks - I remapped the print screen to Ctrl-P and now it works properly (messages and all).

Oh man I have wondered why mine didn't work for the longest time...well this answers that.

Teehee. Yeah, I have absolutely no idea what causes it. You would think the standard non-fancy keyboards would work and the problem might be with the fancy ones, but I've got a G15 and it's always worked but for some it just doesn't. Go figure :P

At least it's easy to fix :)

The other thing I have found is that a re-mapping isn't permanent -  I have to re-map the keystroke not only each new game I play, but if I reload a saved game.

That was a bug in 1.095 (beta 2). It should be fixed for 1.096, so make sure you have the latest beta build.
