looking for a bit of info

Hi all ... just looking for a bit of info and after  reading   the posts am even more confuzled :>  

 

heres the deal  im looking to buy and put gal civ 2 plus expantions +2.0 (sounds good)  on a dedicated  gameing rig  (no internet.. )   so heres my  question  i guess :> 

 

a: is that even possible ..

b: if so  whitch freeking version do i need  (the kalipso one  or  the  dlc bundle from this site  ?   or  what?)   and  if its a DLC  how do i get it  to  the  main rig  ? (i mean i have dvds and  external drives  , but is there a packing utility or  just a  flat out copy?  )  with updates ect    ...

You can find in stores GCII: Gold which has GC: Dread Lords and Dark Avatar; and I believe that once 2.0 is released they will be releasing GCII: Endless Universe (DL+DA+TA) that will include the most up-to-date versions at the time of release.  However, you need an Internet connection to register your serial in order to allow you to download future updates through Stardock's Impulse Utility.  There is a work-around (it still requires internet access, but say like a library or a friend's computer) but in that case you would need to follow the steps and contact procedures for that.

 

My suggestion: If you have a bit of patience, 2.0 is "supposed" to be released next month, though there is the chance it could up to a month longer, i mean one never knows, but that can be an early Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza etc etc present, to oneself :-).    i believe you can pre-order but don't quote me on that.

I believe you can contact Support and you can download from another computer and transfer, but there are some limitations and they may have changed their mode of support for this form of action.

you can download and archive the game, then transfer the archive and reinstall the game

thanks guys  think ill wait for 2.0 to ship and order directly from stardock then  rather than an outsider.  and just make sure the option still viable  once its ready :>    (btw  its going on my dedicated  hall of fame  system   right next to  the original moo )

and for the record before anyone wonders  why i asked  i got  2 options were i live DL  on a comp at work  or  DL on a cell phone.
