Palin Hair comment [funny]

I saw a youtube vid posted with a lady giving a "Sarah Palin Hair' tutorial and I noticed the most hilarious far left comment under it:

"This is kinda like someone showing how to grow a Adoph Hitler moustache in 1934. You'll live to regret her hair style."

Yeah right... This lady is teaching girls to be Hitler's

Such comments are little more than unthinking stupid attempts to create controversy.  I looked at both Utube videos and such a comparison just doesn't fit with any content in either the hair style video or the hockey mom's video.  Oh well.  Stupid is as stupid does.

Look, stupid is stupid BDBF. She's not my cuppa tea, but this is a big country. I suppose what bothers me most is that she's not working with the Special Prosecuter to take care of those ethics charges. I don't think she'd make a great VP, but I could be wrong. Portraying her as the Commander-inChief of the Alaska National Guard was a mistake, as was the lie about giving orders. She hasn't. Also, seeing two countries and flying low over 22 more doesn't constitute Foreign Policy Experience which she has none of. All the other lies represent this curious ability the Republicans have of constructing alternate realities and then living in them.

I could care less about her hair or glasses.  :|

Oh weeel Dr J.  My stupid is as stupid does comment was directed at the "Hitler" comment.  Although I didn't say anything I also don't see how such stupid comment should be construed as a "far left comment".  Does the OP want others to believe Liberals make such comments?  I thought both videos said absolutely nothing of any political importance other than some people like Palin and others don't.

I see Palin as VP choice an attempt to appease conservatives and appeal to female independent voters.  I want some real change in Washington.  The former Fed Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan had warned of mortgage market practices a few years ago and now look at all the problems.  Allowing people to pocket commissions and fees from transactions based on other people's money is always a recipe for disaster.

The stock market crash of 1929 came about from highly leverages stock market holdings that depended on the value of stocks as a security on the debt.  Housing prices in many areas in the US attained unrealistic and unsustainable levels from unsound mortgage market practices and from the fact that mortgages are repackaged and sold.  That is originating banks could sell these mortgages and transfer the risk of their poor loans on third parties.

Look at the financial problems that have resulted from not investigating these problems when Greenspan first mentioned them at the beginning of the Bush legacy.  He started with a budget that had a real surplus.  Now the government is pouring billions into the finance sector to try and restore confidence in the markets because they have to.  And, the deficit is accelerating to reach the trillion dollar per year level.

Why is it that banks have gotten away with imposing huge fees on consumers and jacking up interest rates on credit cards the moment they miss a single payment.  No regulation.  And, the public refusing to do what they need to to get rid of their credit cards.  The same was true in the housing market.  Consumers just aren't smart enough to understand all the implications of the mortagages that were being offered and what would happen when they can't make what was once a $1,500 and now is a $4,000 per month house payment.  This is without question the worst economy in my entire lifetime.

And, let's not forget all the GD advertisting the automakers filled the TVs with to buy that V8 sports car, SUVs and Trucks.  Nevermind the oil crisis that was already evident.  The entire world was pumpimg at near full capacity in 2001.  It wasn't sustainable.  Lack of leadership, lack of real government policy and relentless squabbling over stupid issues is the reason for this horrible situation.

Gee wiz Gay marriage and abortion are far more important than jobs, financial stability, access to healthcare and education.  Do you really think the average American has a snowball's chance in hell of having a retirement?  Only if you work for the government are such things guaranteed.  The average taxpayer and worker will get nothing.

Don't take any Youtube comments seriously...ever.  It's not a place for discussion, just a place where assholes run their mouths with poor grammar and horrible spelling.

BDBF: I agreed with you. I don't hate anyone nor am I a far leftist. I believe that there's room for everyone's belief but not for hatred like "H**ler" comments.

I thought that was clear. BDBF, I AGREE with you, and don't think your comment is "stupid" Quite the opposite!

Well Daiwa.  I'm not sure why this is a news story or why Fox is covering it other than to take something that one individual has said and try to overshadow they real problems that the US has to start facing.

I'm 54 years old and I do not believe that, through any effort that I have possible to me, will I be able to have a retirement.  I graduated with highest honors as school valedictorian from college. I have a masters degree from a top school and none of it makes the least bit of difference.  The government policies of the US are the problem.

Pensions have been wiped out.  Inflation is erroding purchasing power while the stock market's and debt market's collective collapse has wiped out savings for many.  And, still we should be more concerned with somebody's stupid comments regarding a political candidate and a newsmedia's attempt to make hay out of it then our own real hardship.  I don't trust anything to do with Fox news.  People will not be so easily influenced by such organizations as Fox news when they no longer have adequate employment, access to healthcare, the capacity to save for their retirement and have it still when they retire and maintain a home.

I'm going to vote based on my realities not the stupid denseless nonsense that the news media attempts to exploit.

Did you go to the referenced article?  Your comment suggests you didn't as this wasn't from Fox & it was an example of how irrationally insane & hateful some people can be.

Yes, I understand that a Web columnist who is not affiliated with Fox News is the original source of the poor judgement and stupid characterizations.

My point is why is this news?  What about the availability of adequate employment?  Where are the news stories referring to the former Fed Chairman's report to Congress regarding the problems that were developing in the housing market with speculation and ARM mortgages going back to 2001?  Why is it Americans are being led to believe that they're only choices for retirement are the you're on your own options of IRA's and 401 K's?  Why isn't Social Security being expanded to provide a real retirement for Americans?

I've never known Fox News to publish any story of any type that critizes Bush policy.  I think things like this are quite probably planted and done to manipulate public opinion.  These sorts of personal attacks against a politician are most prevalant during an election and make the headlines of the various new organizations as it suits they're own political leanings.

I don't think whatever this "Columnist" said is news.  Media hype and media spin and little else.

Give me real solutions to my real problems.

Exactly. I don't give a damn about Palin's glasses or hair. I do care that she's clueless. A heartbeat from the presidency. How about Alfred E. Neuman for President? How about this: A qualified bearer of the correct number of chromosomes.

I'm sick of the circus and decerebrate fools that stand and cheer as McCain says bloody anything to get himself into office.

How far can he get his nose up? Can he see out his naval yet?

I'm 60, BDBF and I'll never retire either....and that's just what he and corporate America wants: slaves for life and/or slaves from across the border. Why else couldn't Bush build the fence? Don't worry...McCain and Obama won't get it built either.

How about we just get a paragraph from each (100 words no more) about each issue? Then just turn them off and vote your conscience.

What, me worry? I live in America.

I still think we are talking past each other, about 2 different things altogether.  I have no idea if this was on Fox or not - Fox was not my source for this and it wasn't offered to you as a 'solution to your real problems' so please undo the wad in your knickers.

How about Alfred E. Neuman for President?

That would be Barack Obama, who has no more qualifications to be President than Palin does to be VP.  So, you want Alfred on day one, vote away for BO, a total figment of his own imagination.

First of all, your post was an example of someone's hatred is out of control.  You might suppose so, but how should that influence me?  There will always be people who will say inflammatory things and it is generally protected as free speech.  Are you sure that this is a good example of hatred?

May you have the problems I have Daiwa.  Exactly what is your point?  This columnist should mean what to me?  As I indicated I consider all this nonsense of attacking someone's character and is this person qualified or not to have little relevance to me.

I want real employment.  I want real health care.  I want a real future. And in the current political climate it's going to be the same old garbage that has been taking place since the 1970's onward.

The US does nothing until it's too late.  That is America's story.  The problems New Orleans had were easily foreseeable.  The mortgage market collapse of today was foreseeable.  The continuing collapse of financial instituitions means that people are losing their savings as well.  Retired people on fixed incomes have seen their purchasing power eroded as quickly as it did in the late 70's.

About a year and half ago I had a bus driver who makes about $12.50 an hour ask me what should he do about his retirement plan.  He said he had lost about half it's value $25,000.  He was about 60 years old.  I told him it was too difficult of a question for me since it isn't my money.  But, if it were, I would write off the losses and put everything into the safest government bond funds I could find.  I have a feeling he has much less in his retirement plan today.

The sad part is that right now today there are people who are at a loss to know what to do.  They've been told they have to save for their own retirements and so many of them have had to watch those savings dissapear.  They thought they had $100,00 in their retirement account as of 2 years ago and today they only have $20,000 in their account even though they've continued to have payroll deductions going into it.

Those are real problems.  I mention this not as an attack on you Daiwa nor am I implying you can't see these as examples of real problems.  I brought this up because I think this year people will go to the polls and vote based on their real problems and who they think understands their problems and will do something about it.

And no, I don't think this web columnist's poor use of free speech is a very good example of hatred.  And that link quite clearly showed Fox News as the source of the video regarding this web columnist.  Although I haven't checked, it would not surprise if that web site were affiliated with Fox as well.

Oh the source web site for the video in the link and comments on it is media2.foxnews.com.

I happen to agree on this point, and it applies to me personally.  I will vote based on which candidate's positions and governing philosophy are most closely aligned with my views.

As for the 'source' of the video, it was from Canada picked up by Fox (I confess, I hadn't even looked at the 'source' - the lady still said what she said regardless of who reported it), but that is irrelevant - the 'source' has nothing to do with the content (unless you're going to claim the whole thing was a fabrication by Fox) and the content has much to do with the topic being discussed in this thread.

Gotta love that edit button.  Click refresh the sreen.  I sometimes after clicking the edit button get nailed with Google ads.  I then zap all my cookies, kill my browser and on restart see which one will eliminate them IE7 or FF3.
