SkinStudio WindowBlinds COPY Disables Start Button Glow Graphic

Downloaded .wba works, SkinStudio renamed COPY does not.

Glow Graphic Shows in Original Version, Disappears in Copy Version 

The START BUTTON in Metal Vista 3.0 uses ENABLED START BUTTON GLOW, to create a round button, using the GLOW graphic to complete the upper edge of the round start button.  With every COPY attempt of that .wmb, assigned a custom name, and untouched, the BUTTON GLOW graphic file, though it appears in the same EDIT field, and has IDENTICAL settings at ALL tab locations to the ORIGINAL .wmb, the GLOW BUTTON GRAPHICS disappears COMPLETELY.  No refeshing of image, toggling glow ENABLE off and on again at both START BUTTON and START BUTTON GLOW locations, does anything to make the top edge glow graphic reappear.

The above pic documents this phenom, comparing the ORIGINAL Start Button vs COPY Version with glow graphic gone.

Help pls.

Well Jusletgo,

I've got same sort of prloblem with copying a skin.As soon as it is copied I mis the top right bottons (Minimize,close etc.)

I had to stop my work till I'll get an answer.Till now,I had no responce yet.

Since you have a same sort of problem and no answer yet,I can only hope that someone will respond,please!

I use WindowBlinds 6.3 and Skinstudio 6.3

Ok guys I will try my best.I have seen this several times not quite sure what causes it but here is the best solution I can find.

 

1st -click on the image in the renamed skin look closely at the name then click the code section and make sure they are EXACTLY the same .

2nd if they are then we should check the code section.In this case go to your windowblinds folder open the skin folder you are working on find the file "XPStuff.xp" right click and open with note pad then go to edit search and start typing the name of the image untill you find it and make sure the name matches here too.if it doesn,t change it then save and close apply the skin through windowblinds configure instead of SKS then reopen in SKS and it will be renamed there also.

When you do a save as in SKS with a new name SKS must rename every image and Sometimes it misses some altough I don,t know why .

After renaming I go through and check most all of my image names agian!

Hello AVMAN,

I checked everything and all the names are in order,it just doesn't show the minimize,maximize and close-button  and further more the CaptionTextBackground is left out.May be there are even other parts left out.

I'll hope the atached images will show the problem.

I'm trying to learn from this Slider-skin to create my own.I wanted to experiment in a copy of that skin.In the beginning it worked fine,but now I can't make a copy and/or save any changes without having this problem.

 I don't know what to do now.I'd realy like to explore some more in order to learn how to build my own creation.

 

I can't find how to attach a file to this thread.The "Insert/Edit image"-button doesn't show a explore-possibility to my files.
How is this to be done?
