32bit vs 64bit

how to know

When I installed multiplicity 3.65 build / 00105.kvm, it says it is 32 bit.  My windows 11 PC is 64 bit, but I don't see a download option for 64b.   And, I'm h aving trouble connecting to my secondary Windows 10 PC.  Sometimes it connects and sometimes doesn't ... very unreliaable.   Suggestions?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. From what I understand it should work on both system 32bit or 64bit OS. However, to be sure and to clarify, I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience. Thank you.

Multiplicity 3 supports both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, so the 32-bit label alone does not explain the connection trouble. I cannot confirm from our published material whether build 3.65 has a separate 64-bit installer or why that installer selected 32-bit.

For the intermittent connection, first make sure both PCs have the exact same version and build. Then test over Ethernet with any VPN disconnected. If it still drops, remove and re-add the secondary using its IP address rather than its name.

I ended up reinstalling on both the primary and secondary... finally works.   It's been working for  years... so not sure why it would stop.  I don't see a 64bit installer.  Where would I find that?

End of Richard's quote

Haalee is incorrect on that.  There is just one installer.

Multiplicity v3 has mostly 32 bit parts with a few 64 bit parts to support those apps too.  This allows it to run on all Windows machines.

Multiplicity v4 has largely 64 bit parts (bar the config UI as that has no need for larger address space and shipping just one copy saves download size) and has native support for 32 and 64 bit AMD/Intel as well as 64 bit ARM support where possible.
