I cannot activate my newly purchased cursorFX plus

O.K. I've had cursorFX now for about a month and have downloaded a ton of cursors from wincustomise. I enjoy them all but wanted to change the size of many of them so I decided to upgrade to Cursor FX plus. The problem is after I downloaded the new program I could not and cannot activate it; it just gives me a popup window with an error message. Now I can't even use the cursors I've previously downladed and have been using for free!

I've emailed sales and tech support, but I'm beginning to feel that I've been taken and am out $20. ANy suggestions? I'm running Vista ultimate 32b with SP 1

Nobody from Stardock would try and cheat you out of $20.

Stardock Sales and Support are staffed Monday-Friday (9am-4pm EST).  Depending on when you emailed support it can take 24-48 business hours for them to get to where you are in the trouble ticket list.  Re-submitting another email for the same issue will put you back at the end of the list as it's first in first out.  You should have received an automated response from your original email requesting assistance.

Could you expand on what error you are getting?  Did you uninstall the free version before installing the Plus version?  How are you installing CursorFX Plus?

Tech support means they press a button to deliver an automated response. I keep getting the same replies over and over again> Ihave the same problem with activation.

automated response = automated....no button to push.

You will get an automated response to your email that you sent to support. Thats how you know they got your email. Give them a minute to help you, they are very busy people.

If you have a case open  . . any you update it . . you go to the end of the queue.  Just be cool and they'll get to you.  Stardock has great support but time takes time.  :)

I fixed my activation problem with CursorFX+ by doing the following:
1. Uninstall CursorFX+
2. Go to Program Files\Stardock (or whereever it is installed)
3. Delete the CursorFX folder (this won't affect cursor themes downloaded as it is stored in your Documents folder)
4. Install CursorFX+ again (either through Impulse or the standalone installation)
