Suggestions to Stardock!

Here is my list;

#1: When I click "Mark posts as read" in the forum, I expect that all the threads will be marked as read for the current session and for future ones. And retuning to the index afterwards. I do not want them to reappear next time I log in. When it is marked, it is marked. Easy as that.

#2: Add a bugtracker inside Impulse that is accessable from any off-line browser. This way, I think we can get an easier overview of all the bugs, and an easier interface to communicate with the customers that experience any bugs. If you chose to add it into Impulse, it would be easier to view the bugs known to the public and the dev team.

#3: Make it easier for the Stardock team to reply to customers request, e.g. in the forums, I see many people post about possible bugs, but the devs, supports, or other Stardock employees ignores the posts. Maybe add a bright background color to every reply made by any from the Stardock team.

#4: Merge "My Posts" and "My Replies". There is just no need to have two pages that can do a single job.

#5: Add the friends feature to the forum. Easier to get in touch that way.

#6: Add "Report" to the first post.

More to come...

Moving to the "site issues" forum since most of the items are  . . well . . site issues.

We're all just friends you know...no need to add a feature that separates people into such groups...I'd prefer the whole community to be one group.... ;)

They already have Stardock/Wincustomize badges under their names (like mine). Although, changing the background color of their posts would also be helpful, I've done this on my blog for any of my own comments.

They aren't the same though. "My Posts" lists all the threads I've started, while "My replies" shows the full replies I've made to any threads I've posted in.

Definitely +1 on that. I keep thinking it might be in "Tools" but that button does nothing. "Report" links also need to be added to skin submissions and skin comments.

I agree. 101%. Easily reporting rips and bad comments or OP's are beneficial to every one as they will help make Work for the mods easyer and more efficient.
I got a few ideas from this too..

#4: Still, they can be combined to make the site cleaner.

#7: Make the forum the same all over the whole Stardock line. So when I access the forum from Impulse, I get the same forum when I browse WinCustomize. My problem was that I never got back to this post when I used Impulse. And that is a mayor flaw.

#8: Remove duplicates in the My Desktop section. E.g. Icon Packager and Icon Packager 4. Also serve CursorFX equally to ObjectDock.

That is a great idea. Too many times I have seen someone go into chat to report a problem only to start a stampede to the thread.

Different people got to the different sites to get different info.  The folks at The Political Machine - Your Political Battleground! may not be the same folks as at Wincustomize (or Impulse, or JoeUser, or Impulsedriven, or galciv, or Stardock)

I think it's clearer having them separate.  Seems more a matter of taste than functionality.

#7: Atleast provide the content all over, but maybe not have the same display every place.

I think Impulse should have preset tabs for the different sites within SD's gammut. a WC one for the WC forums, A gaming one for the Gaming forums. etc.. If Impulse is to be truely a multi purpose platform, it should allow the user to choose his/her prefered site to visit. I do not game much any more. im here for the skinning and WC, so I use impulse to update my Desktop customization stuff. A gamer only would want the GCV forums etc, not WC's forums. An idea would be like I said to offer tabs to each site so we can choose where we want to post stuff.

A BIG +1 for that. What I post here should stay here, likewise with Impulse, imho.WC is my target audience.I'm not as comfortable now, knowing I'm "broadcasting" across several forums.(No offense to folks reading this elsewhere.) :D

we will always be broadcasting some items across different sites as they are to a degree integrated. Some threads we see here are started on Joe user, etc. but not all posts here are seen on other sites. I would like to have tabs that take me to WC,etc so that way I can see all WC related threads just as I would when coming here in fire fox.

Last time I tried, I couldnt see all of WC's threads in Impulse like I could in FF. So I have to revert back to FF to get the full scope of WCs posts.
