Jericho

Season 2 Dvd's are being released today, mine should be here this afternoon.

I'm stoked, I didn't see the second season as I was turned on to the show too late to catch it, there are going to be some late nights this week...

Yea canceled for the 2nd time remember, but I hear that their trying to get other networks to pick the show up, I can only hope it comes back OR atleast they wrap the WHOLE story up in another DVD if they cant get it back on air because I hate a show being canceled when such good plot has developed.

It was actually available free to watch on CBS's website, though I imagine they've removed it by now.

I just finished watching the 2nd Season awhile ago, the finale was fantastic, and definitely ends on an awesome note.

Yeah, but I prefer watching on DVD. In any case, it rocked!

Umm...if I can let my opinion be known without causing a war... :p

I thought Jericho did nothing more than perpetuate the flag-waving, chest-thumping, hoo-ah image the rest of the world (deservedly or not... depending on your point of view) already has too much of with regard to the US.

what can I say.....bad TV is bad TV.  :NOTSURE:

I wonder if any Jericho memoribilia will come out, like an Allied States of America flag...

Also, does anyone think a Jericho movie would work?

Bad art of any kind is in the eye of the beholder. And to complicate things, some of us deliberately follow "bad" art (stuff that offends our personal or aesthetic values) for various reasons, e.g. learning what not to do or gathering fodder to help you deride something as a formal critic or to have play fights with friends. Perfectly reasonable people can also get sucked into shows for crass reasons like finding an actor hot or loving the clothes or special effects.

I can understand US rah-rah stuff getting under someone's skin, but the show seems like it might be complicated enough to mean that is not front and center most of the time. If I end up sucked in, it will probably be by whatever they do by way of maintaining a semblance of civil society. I don't want any spoilers, but for now I'm curious about things like what will happen to money and what they might do with "one of them" who commits a serious crime like murder or rape.
