WindowBlinds Help

Having Trouble with The translucent Borders

OK, so I have WindowBlinds, and i have downloaded themes with translucent start menus etc. When I apply the theme, First of all, the bar along the top of anything thats open eg, internet expolrer or my documents, is in the old style windows, rather then being in with the theme. also, when i open the start menu, u can see whats behind it, and it looks fine, however when i change onto a different file or program, and click on the start menu, the previous background is still on the start menu. I dont know whats wrong, Any suggestions?

No matter what theme i put on, the top bar is always like this:

the only thing that changes is the colour.

Your dates are incredibly off. Where did you get that copy of Windowblinds?

May be a good idea to uninstall this version and reboot. Run a scanning program to ensure nothing was left behind and then either install the 'trial' version or purchase WindowBlinds.

*sigh*

I would just like to know that if i purchased windowBLinds, would it do the same thing, hence why i got what i did to get a feel for the programme.

No...how do you think they initially knew you have a pirated version?

That's what the trial version is for. However it will only work for the trial time period.

There is a constant stream of people who come here looking for help with the "cracked" versions available on the torrents and elsewhere. It's unlikely anyone here will help fix a pirated version.

Due to the vast amount of possible hardware combinations there are people with legal registered version who at times have issues. The developer is often found here on the website responding to those issues. I feel confident that if you purchase Windowblinds like many thousands of others it will work fine.....assuming you follow the directions Hankers posted. Also note the trial must be removed prior to installing the pay version.

IF you purchase Windowblinds you'll find that it will work/skin your GUI correctly.

You will ALSO not have a warez version phoning home with your credit card info and identity....THAT is only 'optional' with the crack.

There actually is a TRIAL version of Windowblinds which will give you a correct 'feel' without the potential to screw with your system and/or privacy.

Also you'll be welcomed here with assistance from one and all....because you are SUPPORTING the owners of this site through legitimate purchase....;)

Ok, I'm gonna buy it, I have something called UXthemepatcher. it basically unlocks my computer so i can get themes for it. Could this be something that would possibly get in the way?

No, Windowblinds does not patch UXtheme.dll

That's little better if at all than warez....as it's a non-endorsed modification of Microsoft files [latterly claimed to be done in memory rather than physical replacement/alteration...though that's more semantics than accuracy].

Patching or altering System files should NEVER be taken lightly.

Windowblinds does not alter system files, and thus has the blessing of Microsoft...;)

Yes, it possibly could.

Most of the current UXthemepatchers can be ran a second time to restore the unpatched uxtheme file. This would be recommended before installing WindowBlinds.
