Campaign Editor question

Hi all.
Not been able to find an answer on this, so thought i'd ask here.
In the campaign editor, there is a Win/lose section on the screen where you place the mission/scenarios.

I've looked at the TA campaign and they have numbers. They seem to be for example, on the first mission, if you lose, the number is 1, and if you win it's 2. I'm assuming these numbers say if you can move on or not. What i'm curious about however is does this mean we can create a branching mission structure?

I'm currently making a campaign based on the PSX game Colony Wars.
It has videos from the game, and if I can, it will have hull styles from it too. However, as it's my first time making something like this, i've made alterations to the story from the Original game. If, however, a branching campaign is possible, I could pretty much ( as far as I know ) recreate Colony Wars in TotA, with all the various movies that I can find from the game.

with an old game like that you may be able to rip the movies stright from it because there wasin't alot of protection for games back than.So see if you can buy it or if all easle fails download it and try it.

Just because you CAN rip the movies directly from the game doesn't mean you don't need permission do to so! Copyright remains copyright.

Yep. The Dreadlords campaign actually had it to some degree, though DA and (IIRC) TA just make you repeat the same mission if you fail, rather than going to an alternate one.

Thanks Kryo.
Knowing it can be done, means that if I choose to expand the campaign in future to include the Branching structure, it can be done.
For now, it's just a 5 mission capmaign, with and Intro movie, a few mission introductions, and a Victory movie when you finsish. I've just got to build the maps, and set everything up in the campaign file.

Hey Foxthree. I got the movies by using a plugin on firefox, and downloading them from Youtube. I then converted them from FLV to AVI, then Binked them.

Once i've got the campaign working, and that I know it all works fine, i'll try to build some ship styles that resemble the Colony wars ships, and maybe put together some logos.

I'm using the Terrans and the Drengin as base races in the editors, though they have different names, which I hope will show up.

Once it's finsished, i'll look into putting up at I-mod. Though I won't say that it will be a very sophisticated mod! It's just a first try.
