Arnor won't start

Whenever I start Arnor the screen flashes between the desktop and black until after a few seconds it's about 90% black and it freezes.  I have downloaded every updated driver from the Gateway support website.  Thanks for the help.

You are running the game at 1024 x 768 while your desktop is 1440 x 900?
Try changing it to match.

And it might help if you installed the correct driver for you monitor.

And it would also help if you installed the latest drivers from Nvidia.com, instead of relying on Gateway stuff.

Thanks for the info. I'll try changing the resolution. I'm on a Gateway laptop, and I've downloaded every driver from Gateway, and I'm not seeing a monitor driver on their list. When I'm not on the road I hoop up my laptop to a monitor, so perhaps the outdated monitor driver is for the other monitor, and not my laptop. With regards to the Nvidia drivers, when I go to their website and try to locate drivers for the video card, I get a message to go to Gateway.com for their drivers. It won't let me proceed at Nvidia. Just now I hooked up my laptop to the larger stand-alone monitor, and the game works fine. When I try to play the game from the laptop alone, it won't work. So yes, it must be some kind of problem with the laptop's monitor. Weird. I might have to call Gateway.
