From the bootskin page:

System Requirements:

  • Windows XP
  • 10MB free drive space
  • 256MB RAM
Bootskin is not for Vista. Boot into safe mode and uninstall bootskin or restore Vista to before you installed Bootskin.

Bootskin is only for XP . . and even there it's hit and miss.

From the product page:

System Requirements:

  • Windows XP
  • 10MB free drive space
  • 256MB RAM

I've no idea how to recover from a Vista install.

Hi everyone.

I've installed WinXP with Service Pack 3 and the system crashed. Can anyone tell me why?

Depending on your BIOS, you might not be able to get Bootskin to work. You can try to use some other versions from the download page, but if none of them work I'm afraid there isn't much that can be done.
